Steve Shelley

The guitar histrionics are still there, but now everything sounds cleaner and less wild.

We can hear Kim Borden on bass and Steve Shelley on drums, but... better than we ever have here too especially gordon her bass playing on this album is kick ass they both make star turns on these songs and give them a really mean edge the lyrics here are really vicious and pointed at times uh 100 and jc are about the murder of a close friend joe cole uh really pointed and really pissed off a drunken butterfly you know you mentioned uh swimsuit issue which one is just killer just intense but also hilarious like you said you know kim gordon knocking all the all the supermodels drunken butterfly is even funnier because one it's it's awesomely intense but the lyrics are cribbed from the songs of heart and so every lyric is stolen from heart kind of a word collage to call out banality And yeah, really, really fun.

And like you said, and then there's, like you said, youth against fascism is self-explanatory.

And again, Makai's in there.

Uh, something about the vocals, uh, really grabs me too.

Um, and that drummer from Sonic Youth is, like, the main guy from Sonic Youth, um, who did the drums for so many decades, Steve Shelley.

So they've got quite a lineup here and, um, it's no r- wonder the rhythm really rules this track and, and others on the album too.

I, I really found myself enjoying this, and I didn't think I would.
