I think they have headhunted Ben Eiken to be their sort of front man.

But it was interesting that Steve Johnson, he has come out and said it won't work, it'll fail, all these sorts of things.

And rightly so.

I mean, Nick Polites, he is part of the Jets consortium in that sort of part.

I just always felt, why are Toowoomba, you know, they're comfortably distanced from Brisbane too, and have always

had

concerns over, I'd love to see, Steve Johnson from Ipswich has chugged it up for 20 years.

He's been wonderful, but here's the thing.

But yeah, Michael in pro tennis, okay- Certainly you can go in some, if you're a counter-attacker, you're a counter-attacker.

There's a story where Michael Chang did some coaching for the USTA, and it was a young, um, Stevie Johnson and Sam Querrey, and he called the guys in and said, "Guys, I, I was definitely a baseliner, but I came in at so much more than you guys do." Um, you know, he reprimanded them a little bit, as the story goes.

But with, um, Shelton, um, I thought it was very clever that... and it was apparent that Zverev wasn't, he wasn't driving balls into the backhand.

And then he said afterwards-

So w- John won.

Steve and I had him in the finals.

On the women's side, I won the women's side, then Stevie, then John.

[clears throat] I had, I was the only one that had, like, I had Sabalenka in the final.

But I couldn't, like, find his Venmo on my Venmo.

Steve Johnson, his most basic name ever.

Yeah.

Had some phenomenal teammates.

I'd point out that it did happen once after me, uh, led by Steve Johnson at USC, who had a phenomenal collegiate tennis career.

Uh, the SC team won it four in a row as well, but we, uh, between 95 and 98 won four consecutive.

And we just, I mean, each year was really special.

semis and grand slams.

And he talks about his experiences at University of Georgia being some of the most positive and joyful moments on a tennis court he's ever had.

Just one example, Stevie Johnson, another one.

So I think sharing some of those personal experiences is often the most effective way.

You can't pick your, your favorite player that you've coached.

Um, I've also, I've been, I was always fascinated with the trajectory of Steve Johnson.

Um, you know, again, we talked about someone who had limited maybe tennis player.

I mean, obviously it's fantastic.

versus just trying to worry about his weaknesses so well.

You know, the ultimate competitor, that streak was incredible that he went on.

We had a player at Denver that qualified for the indoors and he played Steve Johnson.

And I remember on the changeover, he's like, what am I going to do? I was like, you better end the point quickly because if he gets a hold of one forehand, you're done.

We are all in New York.
