So thanks for having me back.

As far as Westerns go, two that came to mind right off the bat is Preacher, the comic by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, one of my favorite modern Westerns, though I haven't read it in quite a few years.

I can't attest if it holds up or not, but I loved it growing up.

And then Hell or High Water with the best Chris, Chris Pine, is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I don't even want to say his name because he shouldn't be involved in this but I'm going to say Steve Dillon I just think the face expressions like maybe this guy is taking something from that because he's always framing the faces you know but he's not Steve Dillon that's for sure

yeah because yeah you're right like like steve dylan like there's a world in which this is illustrated by steve dylan and we're saying like and he's able to evoke backgrounds with minimal lines and it's it's very exciting right but that is not what's happening here right like um uh so so it's it like it's fine but like i think in a in a book that requires every once in a while a capacity for high octane action It's not what I'm looking for.

But I also kind of like her Punisher.

And I have just recently, like within the past 24 hours, for the first time ever, read Welcome Back, Frank by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.

Which, as much as it is anything else, it is a piss take on the Punisher.

It breaks the character down and shows how silly he can be.

This was a pitch that was for a book that thrived on pushing the envelope, The Authority.

This was a Bryan Azarello and Steve Dillon story where Christ was going to return to the Earth to fight The Authority, who he believed represented the Antichrist.

And in the ensuing battle, The Authority would actually kill Jesus [laughs] okay? Like, this was going to upset people.

But DC Comics just decided that in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, an ultraviolent superhero team that caused mass destruction was just something they didn't wanna publish at all, and they just canceled the series altogether.

Of course, Mets fans try to keep an eye on the doings of the farmhands at Buffalo.

And young Steve Dillon defeated Richmond by a score of 4-2 in the first game of the doubleheader tonight at Richmond.

Who would have believed that when spring training started, that on opening day, 18-year-old Ed Cranepool would be in right field and 20-year-old Steve Dillon would be with the squad.

And then we're going to make a slight detour to Punisher Volume 6, Issue 2, which is the second Punisher series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, which is probably the most interesting choice of all of these.

And then I think we're going to end strong.
