It's stuck at 9.5.

And I spent my week understanding exactly why it's stuck at 9.5, and I'll share that with you.

Okay, let's go.

The reason is that we built up so many points and yards and second down conversions that how you judge each of the 12 metrics is you give 10 if it's at the maximum and those scales are built on what our numbers have been over the last 10 to 15 years.

It doesn't help to build the scales on something 30 years ago because the game has changed.

Like the average pass efficiency rating in the 80s was like 80-something.

Well, if you're at 80-something now, you're in trouble.

When I look at game quality index and I look at the numbers that are coming out, and we've already talked about the 9.5, is there anything else halfway through the season that you go, wow, I didn't expect that?

A, what goes into that game quality index just to refresh our listeners? And then B, how does that translate into such a high standard?

For your audience, what we did, I did it about 15 years ago and no one paid attention for 10 years.

I just didn't want to know until they started to see some connection, some correlation to the commercial side of our game and to the player side of our game.

And they started to pay attention and they started asking questions.

What I did was I chose 12 metrics that reflect the quality of what you're seeing on the field, both from offensive, defensive, special teams, and competitiveness, all sorts of different elements, some of which these metrics capture more than one thing.

So the metrics that are involved are scoring, of course.

That's one.

This is what happens.

And I'm sure that informed, and we did talk about it, but informed the decision to bring the goalposts to the back because you are actually starting to limit options.

Yes.

Last year, We kind of put every attempt in a zone, in the end zone, and this year we'll do the same.

And we'll look at that data internally.

Some of it might even well be shared.

I'm sure it will be.

We'll say, okay, well, here's the completion percentage in this part of the end zone for our management to absorb and understand.

What kind of effort does that take? It takes the

Of course, Brodie Kostecki took race eight, extended the championship lead.

Kiwi Ryan Wood at home, Taupo crowd takes the first, uh, Supercars win for Toyota.

That was fantastic for them.

But then, of course, the rain came down and, uh, the championship was basically dead in the air for Taupo, but we moved on to Ruapuna Christchurch.

Look, it, uh, changed from three to four races, sold over 60,000 worth of tickets, sold out.

Amazing, uh, amazing lineup of people, uh, coming to watch some fantastic racing.

That got, uh, got pretty heated, what happened there.
