Hey, I, I loved this the other day when I was driving home from your house after doing, uh, Pop-Pop duty and seeing Bode Bell and McKinley Hope and everyone, um, and, and being with Dave Brewer, I listened to the entire Rangers-Mariners game on the way home, and the two starting pitchers were both from Stetson University, um, Jacob deGrom against Logan Gilbert, and they combined, uh, to pitch 13 innings, and they struck out 23.

So look, Corey Kluber also went to Stetson, so they put out some pretty darn good pitchers.

Right.

The family all agreed that Adam's childhood was fairly normal and he didn't start having any emotional or mental problems until he was a young adult.

He failed out of college at Stetson University and that's when, in 1994, he went to live permanently with his mother.

There was absolutely nothing in his history, or even in the days leading up to the event, that could have foretold that one day Adam would just be gone.

Poof.

There's seven pitchers to have ever pitched in the big leagues.

that have been from Stetson University, and combined they have four Cy Youngs, which just feels insane.

And Logan Gilbert might also add to that total, because he is a fantastic pitcher in his own right.

Jacob DeGrom going six innings, just one hit, an infield single off of himself that he could not quite field to get that out.

Yeah, I watched it, um, I think it was my, [laughs] was it my sophomore or junior year of college that I watched it? So I was still pursuing, actively trying to play in the big leagues.

And then [laughs] my last year at Stetson, I was at, this is like the, the, everything kind of is coming full circle from that moment, because for Halloween, I dressed up as the Greatest Showman, and I was making funny videos, and then I, we played at Alabama.

And Alabama fans are insane.

They are, like, on top of you.

Miola was named Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament MVP as a sophomore after homering three times in four games and earned Atlantic Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Year accolades across as a junior in 2025.

The cousin of former U.S. National Soccer Team goalie Tony Miola, he went in the fourth round making him Stetson's highest drafted position player since 2003 first rounder Brian Johnson.

He took over as shortstop for an injured Maui Ohuna at single A San Jose and helped with a California League championship.

So that's why we hadn't heard about him.

Flagg marks its 10th anniversary on Wednesday and throwing itself a gala with tickets for the occasion priced at $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000.

Adams is still listed on the website as Flagg's founder, but ceded the role of CEO in March to Cooper Rodenberg, a recent graduate of Stetson University, around the time he accepted his State Department role to promote tourism to the United States.

Reached by phone, Rodenberg requested that questions be sent by email, but did not respond to them.

Rodenberg has since increased Flag's public activity, launching a TikTok account and a Substack newsletter, meeting with educational representatives, and speaking to groups like the Shelby County Republican Women's Club in Tennessee.
