Except Widow's Day has come along and it's just kind of caught everybody's attention.

And so Stephen Root, who is, you know, he's, Mr.

Character actor, yeah.

I think you're going to see a big upset this week with Stephen Root winning out over Harrison Ford.

Okay.

In real terms, that would be an upset to one Simon Foster who said that this will, who after three or four episodes of Widow's Bay said this will be the year that Stephen Root wins the supporting actor Emmy.

It's not going to be a surprise to me.

I think he's got a lock on it.

Yeah.

We've got Steven Root as Jim Hudson.

I love Steven Root so much.

He's one of my favorite character actors ever since I saw him on True Blood back in season one.

Oh, my God.

Comedy supporting actor, though, I think this is where there's a lot of surprise and potential and hard to really be confident in any selection just because I don't think there's any clear favorite.

You have Harrison Ford for Shrinking, Stephen Root for Widows Bay, Paul W. Downs for Hacks, Michael Urie for Shrinking, Tyler James Williams for Abbott, Coleman Domingo for The Four Seasons, and Nick Offerman for Margo Scott Money Troubles.

Is Harrison Ford winning his first Emmy for Shrinking? Is that where we're going? Stephen Root, obviously a many-time nominee previously at the Emmys.

Is he the biggest contender to him or threat to him with Widow's Bay? Hard to say.

I don't have a good feel for it, honestly.

And this movie, it's from Grant Heslov, who's George Clooney's friend and fellow filmmaker.

And this movie has Ewan McGregor, George Clooney, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Spacey, Nick Offerman, Stephen Root, Stephen Lang, and just the character work alone in this is so great that there's so many fun, memorable characters in this movie.

And, you know, some of the most, like, it certainly has tonal issues because it goes from, like, this silly kind of, like, weird story about this offset of the military, and then it does get really kind of heavy dealing with military industrial complex and effects like experimentation on soldiers has and stuff like that but George Clooney and Jeff Bridges in this movie are so excellent Jeff Bridges as this guy who goes on like this six year hippie journey to come back to the military and start this and he's just the most Jeff Bridges character you're gonna find it's just so it's a such a strange movie and it's quite funny at times it has a couple affecting moments too and has great needle drops and it's one of those weird quirky movies that didn't work at all but certainly works a decent amount to make it a fun time um like i said i don't think i think grant teslav has a very uneven track record as a filmmaker and him and george clooney i guess in general both of them together do but like this is just one of those like i remember when this movie came out and i saw all the people in it same and this the concept of it i'm like they stare at goats until they stop a goat's heart strange idea it was such a fun time re-watching that last night

i watched that movie when it came out it was so fun like exactly only on the same page like it's not a perfect movie but it's a fun movie also so the title of men who started goats In Czech, the word goat, kozy, is a slang term for boobs.

Uh, it does not say, but it's A24.

It's got Stephen Root in it.

Ooh.

Stephen Root for Widow's Bay.

Michael Urie for Shrinking, and Tyler James Williams for Abbott Elementary.

So...

And as we saw at the Creative Arts, it was just taking nearly everything it was nominated for.

Yeah.

Is this now firmly Stephen Root's, do you think, to lose?

I don't know.

You're like, I can't believe he pulled off this American accent so well.

The other guy that I think everybody loves as an actor that's in this and has a big role is Stephen Root.

Going all the way back to news radio, I'm sure you watched plenty of news radio.

I did not.

You'd be shocked at what I haven't watched.

And then you'd be shocked at what I have watched.

But anyway, so Widow's Bay is good and Stephen Root is excellent.
