Stephanie Coontz

And like, this is a movie about like a union, and like, is very like pro like communist and pro, pro labor.

And like, in this ti- like, one of the things I was talking about in my letter is, and one of the things that pisses me off and I've definitely talked about before, uh, the book by Stephanie Coontz, uh, The Way We Never Were, about like this like, the mythological like 1950s like family, like as portrayed in like Leave It to Beaver and, and so many other, um, examples.

Um, but Leave It to Beaver is perhaps like the most like canonical one, I guess.

Um, but like, and I'll, I'll see like people I went, like women I went to high school with being like, "Oh, like it's feminism's fault that like I don't have, like that I have to go to fucking work, and like I wish I could just be like a housewife and shit." And it's like, fucking Nick At Nite and TV, like that shit's so psyoped.
