stent thrombosis

Patients died.

I mean, and stent thrombosis in an improperly placed stent is still a very deadly complication today.

But we try kind of tried, we had to solve for it.

And that time we hadn't solved for it as yet.

We still have the clotting problem.

And the solution comes from Milan, from an interventional cardiologist named Antonio Colombo, one of my favorite pieces of clinical detective work in all of cardiology.

Everyone assumed stent thrombosis was a material problem.

The metal is thrombogenic or creates a clot and therefore blood clots on metal.
