Not Bledsoe, not the researcher behind the Easter date.

Independent amateur astronomers and sky watchers, the kind of people who spend their evenings in planetarium software l- like Stellarium plugging in coordinates and scrolling through dates.

They took Bledsoe's description, Regulus in the east before dawn, as seen from the Sphinx, and went looking for the morning that fit best.

Where they landed was October 7th, two thousand twenty-six at roughly five thirty in the morning Cairo time.

During the flight, he contacted Air Traffic Control, who reportedly confirmed that no other aircraft were registered in the relevant area.

He also attempted to identify the lights using Stellarium, an astronomical application which displays stars, planets and satellites.

He couldn't find an obvious map.

Photographs and video were taken from the aircraft, although Guan acknowledges that they don't reproduce what the witnesses believed they could see with their eyes.
