I wore a Stella McCartney pink suit I often wear a trouser suit to a wedding because I find the sort of occasion dress it's quite overwhelming massively me and I'm not sure you get a great ROI on a dress unless it's very versatile.

And actually her brother got married and I also wore a suit.

And this woman came up to me, a friend of my aunt's was like, I remember meeting you at the last wedding and you were wearing a suit then too.

it has an a at the end um I had no idea.

And the off-the-shoulder dress.

It's very Venice-y.

Now, we have to talk about Taylor's outfit, because she was in a gorgeous halter neck Stella McCartney dress with strappy heels and a red handbag and, of course, displaying her new, much shorter haircut, which she debuted recently at a wedding.

Travis was in a green silk striped shirt and brown slacks, and it's cute to see that they've emerged from the honeymoon bubble.

This is probably a good thing for sustainability, but for the sake of innovation, I feel like we're really falling behind in the experimental textiles department.

[clears throat] I would say that like Stella McCartney's fall winter, uh, '24 I think was pretty cool, um, with the acrylic like black going on I want to see more of that.

I want to see more experimental textiles being used in fashion.

Um, [smacks lips] I feel like it has great potential to create novel silhouettes, um, that could really push the boundary if anything

... of uh experimental fabrics and innovation in design versus sustainability and, uh, environmentally friendly s-, um practices w- um processes of fabric which kind of, uh, is really hard It is really hard not to make like an environmental impact, um, with, with synthetics and with natural fibers.

The growth of athleisure plays a big part, so the stats show that it's the fastest growing apparel sub-segment annually, and this is driven directly by the fusion of luxury fashion and active athletic lifestyles.

The rugby shirt trend, for example, is gaining momentum with luxury labels, integrating elevated rugby silhouettes onto their runway lines, the likes of Stella McCartney and Moncler.

And then there's the rise of sneaker culture, or tacky tech, known locally, which is also a contributor, fueled by luxury fashion houses collaborating with athletes to launch high-end performance lines, the likes of Michael Jordan or Serena Williams with Nike.

And we see this trend in Cape Town too.
