Stella Bass

Uh, and we have just one digression, which is to listen for a few minutes to the voice of the truly wonderful Cassandra Wilson, who died on September the 1st of this year, aged just 70, at her, uh, family base in Jackson, Mississippi.

We'll enjoy a little of her considerable recorded output along the way, but now, um, we'll stay in Ireland, and we'll check out Stella Bass' new single, which is called Time to Fly, and was written especially for her, I think, by the veteran composer, sorry Dave, Dave Gold.

[big band music]

Wake up, smell the coffee perking, it's time to fly.

It's time to fly, fly, fly, fly.

It's time to fly.

Yeah, Stella Bass there with Dave Gold's Time to Fly.

That's her new single.
