Like, I was starting to look through it, and I think it all kind of makes sense.

At least, like, I think when we were looking at it in the beginning, it had, like, Steel Overseer.
U
57:49Usman JamilGUEST
And I was just like, I don't think that's...
U
57:52Usman JamilGUEST
And it makes sense.

Like, an algorithm wouldn't be able to look at something like Steel Overseer and say, like, oh, this requires X amount of critical mass of cards.

And then you cut it anyway.

But, like... nothing there's like maybe a few cards i'm just like mana war is a little like under probably the power level of the cube itself or just like a lot of like small micro level things that i'm kind of seeing and then just like There's not a lot of artifacts, which I think is fine.
What Makes a Card “Sacred?”

It's a cool little package you can, like, sprinkle into a couple different colors and, like, you know, make your deck be mostly red-white, but also have a big heavy artifact theme and, like, you know, use...

Basically, I have, like, a little modular package essentially in there right now where I have... steel overseer which independently clean and iconic i have mirror retriever and scrap trawler which mirror retriever is definitely iconic and like and sacred and elegant scrap trawler is more complicated that's one like basically one of my rules is that if you ever have to reread a card if you like otherwise know it if i've played with the card three times and then i have to reread it to remind myself exactly how it works that's a card that i will take note of like okay maybe that's not as actually resonant as i think and i feel like scrap trawler is one where like some people are like oh is it you know have to be less than or is it less than or equal to or is it you know

target on itself or only other things yeah

exactly there's a couple little tiny knobs there but it's mostly you know it's in the cube so i think it's mostly pretty elegant

Maybe you can give me a third option.

If you can think of one, one is just to like run basically no artifact creatures, like just essentially take most of these cards out and, you know, keep a few that just like, like I think perilous mirror is a card that like, I just love and could like see in here forever.

It's like, so simple and does create like dynamic little interesting game situations it's like good to sacrifice it's good to chump block obviously it's also good an aggressive deck like it does everything i love perilous mirror it's hard to imagine cutting that but like cut most of these other ones cut the steel overseers cut the patchwork automatons cut the scrap trawlers cut the mere retrievers and just play way fewer artifacts and more colored cards that is an option anecdotally it feels to me like in the early days of magic most artifacts weren't creatures it was mostly like they were artifacts and there were a couple artifact creatures there were an alpha like it was the thing forever but it felt like they were much fewer and further between where it was kind of like every once in a while you get an artifact creature but there's not like as many artifact creatures as there are creatures in like regular
