they loved it they were captivated by it i mean it's kind of an old-fashioned movie in in many ways but it's so good as is the book that it's based on so uh yeah if you haven't seen this one check it out it it took place i mean it's not dated because it was it's a period piece yeah it's a period piece and it's it's so well done um

ad what do you have yeah we got kind of a theme it's a a wise father figure i'm going with steel magnolias which is a movie about uh southern women and uh he plays sally field's husband julia roberts father um he's this kind of stable but fun character he bickers with some of the women he gives good advice but my favorite is is in this photo there's a scene where they need to get rid of these birds that are in this tree for this backyard wedding And so he takes his crossbow, ties a bunch of fireworks to the arrow, and shoots it up into this tree, and chaos ensues.

But again, he's this fun character, but he is also this kind of wise father figure, steady, stable, which I guess is a theme for his career.

He goes deaf after that because it's so loud, the fireworks in there, and then he's walking the bride down the aisle, and they're like, who gives this woman to be married? And she has the elbow and he's like, her mother and I do.

Yeah, he's just one of those old...

Steel Magnolias.

Yeah.

One of those faces that you were just... from the 90s, do you know what I mean? You just recognise him immediately, even if you don't know his name, but you recognise him.

He is the patient husband of Shirley MacLaine in Turning Point and Sally Field's husband in Steel Magnolias.

I loved him.

But I was looking to see if there were any movies.

Maybe Steel Magnolias is on Disney+, I can't remember, but Tom Skerritt was one of them.

But this week, it is Randy Morris, and he's considered a true Disney legend in the eyes of Disney guests.

He passed away, and he was the first pianist, piano player, if you don't know what that means, to bring Main Street USA to life when the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971.

Not only an alien starred in there, but also Space Camp, which if folks have not seen Space Camp, it is one of my most enjoyable 80s movies out there.

And also Steel Magnolias, and he's been in a ton of things in Contact, but Space Camp.

Just want to put that out there.

I didn't go until recently, back in, I think it was April.

They were doing Steel Magnolias, and I loved that movie.

And so, went to that, loved it.

Carolina alumna, I think her name's Sharon Lawrence, I've seen her act before, I mean, on television, but she was in it, which was really cool.
