Matty JuiceHOST
70:10
So I can just cast my phone up on the TV.
Matty JuiceHOST
70:13
And then it also, I'm using it basically as like a Steam link.
Matty JuiceHOST
70:17
So I kind of, I went from having like a fire stick, a Chromecast and a Steam link, all separate devices.
Matty JuiceHOST
70:25
And now I just have one that does everything and it can do more because it's Android.
Matty JuiceHOST
70:30
You can just like load, you know, unofficial apps on there and stuff and I'll leave it at that.
Brad LynchGUEST
20:02
They're not.
Brad LynchGUEST
20:03
Again, they still advertise it as just for streaming, like Steam Link.
Brad LynchGUEST
20:07
But, guess they figured the easiest way for them to do that was just to use the leftover chips they have from the original crystal which yeah again i think that makes sense but At the same time, they're also going to be offering a wired option, which I, like we said, they're simmers, they're simming audience.
Brad LynchGUEST
20:24
I don't think the wire is a huge problem for them.

10 MINS LATER

GTHOST
30:45
They are doing lots of updates though.
GTHOST
30:47
If you're on the beta channel, dude, it's like every other day there's an update.
Brad LynchGUEST
30:52
Literally, I saw someone point out a problem with how Steam Link streams the colors.
Brad LynchGUEST
30:58
Like there was some banding between like one color.
NickHOST
58:17
And the Saturn version on Steam does not support online multiplayer in the way it would have if it were adapted to do that in the past.
NickHOST
58:25
So instead, Pat and I had to do Steam Link, I think is what it's called, where it's multiplayer on one person's game booting.
NickHOST
58:33
So anyone who isn't player one has to use a default deck to play it.
NickHOST
58:38
But again, they're good enough to where...

7 MINS LATER

PatrickHOST
65:20
beginning that intro subtitle is in the the intro like dialogue is english yeah it's voiced that was yeah really weird i don't know if that's in the original game or not or that's okay yeah so that's always weird to me where that's in english but the last is in japanese
NickHOST
65:35
yeah so apparently according to reviews the ending is not translated so something to keep in mind either way though i still think it's worth the 30 bucks on steam or whatever modern platform you're playing this on um and if you want to just go through the japanese original and Saturn like Peter did apparently still a good time and yeah no I'd give it I don't know 7,000 out of 8,000 mana
PatrickHOST
65:58
pretty good I would definitely recommend also if you want the optimal way to play this and have the most fun just make four default decks get the steam link and have your four friends play and just do like pre-built decks and play that way you don't have to hardcore do that i think even even doing that i had a ton of fun with nick so if you oh yeah that was if you guys just want something like not like if you don't want to go too in depth and make crazy decks or you just want to start and have a little bit of fun just do that with with your friends have one friend buy it do steam link with four friends and hop in split split it between four people i don't know it's like what five bucks each almost five bucks a little bit more than that for each person six bucks and just have a little board game night thing with it it's a ton of fun doing that and in that regards i would rate it a nine out of ten just for that alone
NickHOST
66:43
yeah the multiplayer is so good it was from the little i played of it it was very fun thank you all for listening as always you must play sega saturn you must It's a trading card video game that many have accurately described as being like if Magic the Dragon and Monopoly had a baby.
TrevorHOST
27:10
Let's get the actual name.
TrevorHOST
27:12
Steam link.
TrevorHOST
27:13
Yeah, seem like there's an actually that even reminds me.
TrevorHOST
27:15
So I was thinking about, OK, let's look at the steam link app on the phone and I have a controller.
TrevorHOST
27:20
Would that be good enough? I have a pretty good internet connection in the house.
TrevorHOST
27:24
The other thing I thought about was like an actual steam link unit.
TrevorHOST
27:27
So the little boxes they used to sell.
TrevorHOST
27:29
Oh yeah.
Bob WulffHOST
31:49
Mm-hmm
Russ CrandallGUEST
31:49
... something kind of set up where you can have it very easy for Steam Link or streaming and whatnot.
Russ CrandallGUEST
31:53
But really, just have it focused on lightweight games, which are still the majority of games played on the regular Steam Deck anyway.
Bob WulffHOST
32:00
You recently did a video about a Steam, uh, like an app that basically puts-
James TachioHOST
52:42
Yeah, so I have a PlayStation VR 2, but I've actually never used it on my PC because... like you were saying earlier, Mike, the friction element, I am also, you know, probably to my detriment if there's like even the slightest bit of friction, I'm just not interested.
James TachioHOST
52:59
So it's so much easier for me to just use a quest three S that I have, um, through steam link.
James TachioHOST
53:04
And that's, that tends to be what I use.
James TachioHOST
53:06
I know I'm not getting the best visual.
BlunnersHOST
45:05
Well, yeah, because I think if you've got a Quest or anything like that, you can link it.
TimHOST
45:09
You can do Steam Link.
TimHOST
45:10
Steam Link, yeah.
TimHOST
45:12
I've not got one, but I have been tempted to get a, because if I play my Steam library, I'd normally play it on my Oculus 2.
TimHOST
45:18
But you can get an adapter, I think, to be able to use your PSVR 2 headset, which is a better quality headset.
Will SmithHOST
43:13
So I, I...
Will SmithHOST
43:14
What I will say, having used this for a- like, I've used the Steam streaming stuff for more than 10 years at this point, right? They rolled it out when they did the Steam Link more than a decade ago, in the first wave of Steam Machines, uh, back in ought 16.
Will SmithHOST
43:27
And it has, it, it...
Will SmithHOST
43:31
For a long time it was very hit and miss whether it would work.
JN TraxHOST
81:03
That's when I bought Beat Saber on the Oculus store.
JN TraxHOST
81:06
Only thing I ever bought from Oculus slash Meta and I... regretted it but anyway i've repurchased beat saber on steam to further give valve more money for doing the right thing but anyway but so but that's installed in this headset i could take it to anybody's house um any computer we can put the steam link app on or apple tv or anything that you can put steam link on Or most smart TVs, if you put your TV on your Wi-Fi, there's an app in there that I could basically stream to so that you're playing.
JN TraxHOST
81:43
Because if you're playing Beat Saber and you're not by yourself, then it's party mode.
JN TraxHOST
81:48
You need to have the view on the screen, right?
JN TraxHOST
82:00
But that's all just going to happen through...
ObliviousHOST
82:02
Much easier to set up.
JN TraxHOST
82:03
Steam Link app and playing...
JN TraxHOST
82:08
Okay, so the controllers.
John LamontHOST
18:15
Um-
Brad ShankarGUEST
18:15
Steam Link.
John LamontHOST
18:16
Yeah, Steam Link.
John LamontHOST
18:17
Thank you, Chris.
John LamontHOST
18:18
Uh, Steam Link, um, there's an app I use called Moonlight as well that does something similar.
John LamontHOST
18:24
Um- For local streaming in my own home, these, these are phenomenal, and it has really freed up my ability to play games in different places because I have a lot of games on my PC that I like to play, but maybe I don't always wanna sit at my desk, you know, and, and play there.
John LamontHOST
18:41
Sometimes I wanna sit on the couch and play a game on my TV, right? And so having these streaming tools I think are valuable for those moments if I want to stream a game from my PC to my TV.
