State forest

Oh, no, no.

In the State Forest, it was up there.

Yeah, it was up there.

Come on, Damers,

And, um, I mean, there are so many trails at Tar Hollow.

It's such a large state forest that, um, if, if the trails can be cleared, we could have a 50 miler single loop.

No problem.

What's, with all the trails but um i just wanted to push it out a little further um and see what was out there and surprisingly um the the trails the um and i don't know the term for it whoever runs the horse association that's involved with tar hollow state park they actually do a very good job of somebody's getting out there and not weed eating they don't care they're seven feet up on a horse you know going through all that but removing all the trees and everything in that area um they do an excellent job of removing those and keeping the trails clear and passable so that was a very nice surprise when i got out there um so just incorporated a lot of that um some people that are running it like some big hills out there that they'll be experiencing for the first time and a little bit hillier and harder than last year but it's going to be a fun course And I actually drove around today when I got done weed eating and was just kind of looking at some of the other trails that were out there on the bridal side of it and just looking at potential for next year.

And I love getting on like I was trying to get on like their website and trying to look where the trails were and looking at Cal Topo to see what the topography is, because there are some there are some pretty gnarly bridal trails down there that I've never been on before.

Yeah, they're actually, I mean, it's a lot easier, and I mean, nobody would ever know, and like, I'm actually going to put a sign up tomorrow on, they have, I mean, they've done a lot of work.

A gentleman named Austin, I can't think of his last name, he runs the State Forest now, and he, more than any time in the past, since he's taken over, he is willing to help us out so much with whatever we need, and Um, as far as like clearing trees and, um, stuff like that and any equipment and mowing long stretches of like the, um, forest roads and stuff like that would have been closed, but they're still that we still use them for the race.

Um, he's done, he's came in, um, really clutch for us this year and really, really helpful.

And so we're looking up and down the Cumberland Plateau.

There's been a lot of conservation efforts put into the plateau, so we have an incredible network of public lands, you know, all the way from, from Pickett State Park and State Forest at the northern end that borders the Big South Fork and the Daniel Boone National Forest, and you come south on the plateau, and you got things like Frozen Head State Natural Area and State Park.

You've got Fall Creek Falls State Park.

These are, you know, each one is tens of thousands of acres of public lands that are open, uh, for recreation, open for people to go and connect with nature.
