From 1968 until it was privatized in 1990 through that sweeping privatization era.

So there was local public banking services, payment services accessible through the post office and people who generally perhaps wouldn't be able to access privatized banking services or more marginalized in society would be able to have that and participate more fully in society.

And so that is the principle behind a public banking option.

And obviously today it would have to be still be accessible through things like the post office, but also have an online presence and up-to-date digital infrastructure.

But it also provides a- additional competition to arguably quite a concentrated market at times.
