So we've been steadily following the chaos at CMS resulting from the firing of Superintendent Crystal Hill and the ensuing investigations into possible financial irregularities at CMS.

by the State Auditor's Office, the State Board of Public Instruction, the SBI, and the FBI.

It's all been more than a little unsettling, to say the least.

And this week, the school board got an earful from concerned parents and citizens at their Tuesday meeting.

All right, so last night we were admonished by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board.

We have disappointed some of the members who are at the heart of a scandal over financial irregularities that's being investigated by the FBI, the SBI, the DPI, and the State Auditor's Office.

Uh, we were admonished for noticing and for being agitated and for directing our energy towards the apparent corruption scandal that is swirling all around the Board of Education.

We were told this by the members of the Board of Education who are at the heart of the poop swirl.

Uh, we had charts and publications that we put online, uh, stating that.

I personally contacted the State Auditor's Office to inform them.

They then, uh, came back and did their own, uh-

Yeah

... investigation, and they confirmed what we stated.

Yeah.

And so, and some media outlets has presented as if the State Auditor's Office uncovered something.

Yeah.

I have more confidence and credibility.

and information that I will receive from the state auditor's office.

The investigation into the finances at Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools is growing this week.

We find out the FBI is conducting and has been conducting their own investigation, joining a roster of investigators, including the State Bureau of Investigation, the State Auditor's Office, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, and the U.S. Attorney.

Why is the FBI involved? Well,

County Schools.

And the news comes in the wake of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the State Auditor's Office confirming that they are also looking into the district's finances.

The State Board of Education said last week that it would be reviewing the district and also assisting the state investigations into CMS.

Our partner station, WSOC in Charlotte, has reported that questions have been raised about the school district's handling of money that is supposed to help exceptional children.

Now, i- if you're in Iowa, you know exactly who Rob Sand is.

I mean, I'm not, like, a expert on the subject, but I would've heard if there were more.

Um, and yeah, Rob Sand is Iowa State Auditor running for governor-

I wanna say it was 2021 or 2022, but the City of Los Angeles had already installed a bunch of Flock cameras.

The State Auditor of California went in and did an audit of Flock cameras in the LAPD and the State Auditor wrote a report.

The Charlotte Observer reporting on the North Carolina State Auditor's Office said, They held a press conference on, I believe, Wednesday.

Yeah, Wednesday.

And the office, the auditor, is pledging to get to the bottom of the alleged financial irregularities within Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools as it confirms another investigation into the troubled school district.
