E-Tees deals with smaller search engines.

So if you do a search on one of the partners, Ecosia, DuckDuckGo, Quantum, Startpage, if you do a search on there and buy something, we get a tiny fraction of a percent.

And

is that viable? It is.

And when you click on settings, the details are on the other side of the page.

[laughs] You go to the left-hand side of the page and it'll say Search Engines, and you click on Search Engines and, uh, uh, uh- I think the second one from the bottom is the Startpage, that's all one word, and that is a, um, a really, um, powerful but untrackable search engine.

But it has all the power of Google, Bing, which is the Microsoft's, uh, uh, thing, and, uh, uh, and Apple.

Um, uh, it's a very powerful search engine and it's, but it's untrackable.

Yandex is a browser.

Now, I don't know if the, if, if the search engine of Yandex is called Yandex or if there's an alternative browser.

And, um, but Rob Braxman, I would go to Rob Braxman and, and, uh, just put the search in, Rob Braxman Yandex, those three words in a search, preferably not a Google search, but a Brave search or a, a, a Startpage search.

You can also use Startpage as a browser.

So, okay, but hold on.

They operate MapQuest, CouponFollow, Startpage, and its marketing platform.

Those all sound like fake.

[laughs]

And, uh, yeah.

Um, if you want, you can also use DuckDuckGo and Startpage and whatever you want.

You can use a number of different, and weight them accordingly.

If you think that, uh, if you think that DuckDuckGo is the superior, uh, search engine, you can bump that up the list and, uh, and it weighs it heavier.

Um, this is a story about a billion searches a year now built in.

Startpage comes to Firefox.

So today, starting with Firefox 154, that choice becomes as easy as head to the drop-down menu, hit Select, and start searching.

Startpage is now a built-in search option for Firefox users on desktop in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

Android and iOS are coming soon.

Queries aren't stored or linked to you, and there are no AI answers pushed above your search results.

In fact, there's no AI at all.

Startpage ranks among the most requested search engines in the Firefox community.

Uh, it's off by default, and you can try it out if you use Firefox for mobile, and it uses a filter list based on EasyList to block a variety of ads.

Also speaking of Firefox, they have added Startpage, and so Startpage, um, is now another option you can select easily, uh, within Firefox.

Brave version 1.93 has been updated with GPU fingerprinting protections, so if you want the latest and greatest on fingerprint protection, Brave now has some extra stuff there.

This one I actually saw organically before I saw the story, which is quite rare, um, but ProtonMail now has categories inside of the mail experience.
