Stars on Ice

Like-

I mean, they just said, "Stars on Ice, come on over."

Yeah.

Yeah.

So I think you're going to have all the tools once you get all your accreditations.

Now, your recent final go around on Stars on Ice, the Canadian tour, was done with your good pal, Kurt Browning, as the artistic director.

Now, when he found out that you are on the path to becoming a financial advisor, did he chew your ear off about the benefits of his reverse mortgage product?

Chip Mortgage, yeah.

Yeah, absolutely.

What took you so long to find the Toronto Legends podcast? It's crazy, but we now have over 350 interviews with big names from sports, music, broadcasting and beyond.

So scroll through them all and choose only the legends you want to hear from at torontolegends.ca. Now, after your 2018 retirement from competitive skating, it must have been a nice soft landing to transition over to Stars on Ice, which I guess is the modern version of what some of us remember as ice capades.

That's right.

Everyone in the sport, the viewership, the fans, it's easy to get behind something that's athlete-centered.

And you guys just did Stars on Ice also, right? What was that like?

Oh, it was so fun.

We love Stars on Ice, especially after the Olympics.

We get to travel with our teammates.

It's so

Yeah.

She was my Stars on Ice dress-

Oh, yeah

... uh-

Scott Hamilton.

Okay.

Stars on Ice 2000.

[laughs]

The United States is still there, and it had a big boost.

I mean, I went to Stars on Ice here in Chicago, and I've never seen it.

I can't remember the last time I saw a crowd like that for a skating show after the Olympics, and it was great.

But I'm not sure that what they're proposing is going to attract any new eyes to the sport that aren't eyes that are already in the figure skating community.

So clearly...

You want to be entertained.

And if you look at the applause that people got on Stars on Ice, Jason still got as big ovations as anybody.

The person who has been known as the quintessential entertainer in the sport for now a lot of years is still getting as much attention and as much love thrown at him from the stands as anybody else.
