Starland Ballroom

In fact, I don't think I've really been kicked out of any shows except for one show, and I wanted to share that with you guys.

And then I got our security guy, Rex, who we brought in, uh, formerly, uh, did security at Starland Ballroom in New Jersey.

And, uh, so he's part of our staff here, and he said he'd sit down with us here in a second.

So, uh, first I'll just kinda share my, my story, and then we'll have Rex come out for a little bit and see what he's got for us.

Went from guest to staff member.

That's right.

If anyone doesn't know, Rex came on seasons ago as a guest of ours to share stories about him working at the Starland Ballroom, and we just offered him a job here, and he's been working for us ever since, and doing a great jo- Well, a pretty good job.

I don't really know how much security we, we need here, but sometimes we have in the past.

... um, at Roseland Ball- Star- whatever the one in New Jersey is.

Starland Ballroom?

Starland Ball- Ball, the, the Ballroom.

The Linc?

I was a teen.

And so I was able to, like, you know, go see, like, my favorite band Mannequin Parade at, like, Starland Ballroom and I did get to go to, like, like, Brighton Bar, The Saint.

Like, they had some all age events going on where I would try to, like, connect with the, some of the local scene here and, and whatnot.

But it's changed quite a lot since that time and I almost, I really do miss how it was because I never really got to fully immerse myself in it, so I do have some regret there.

Um, you know, you certainly had like the Stone Pony you could go see shows.

The Starland Ballroom had great shows.

Um, for, for people in like a local scene, there was a really prevalent, uh, I won't name them because they don't deserve it [laughs].

[laughs]

But let me tell you the best band out of the whole summer.

I saw Foo Fighters in a little club, the Starland Ballroom, the same place where Tristan's sister played.

Why were they in a small

club?

In my neck of the woods, we get two dates.

We get a Starland Ballroom date.

And we also have a Bowery in New York City date.

So I'm blessed to be right in between both venues here.
