Starke

These geniuses then began talking about the murder and about how they felt Seth deserved it.

Michael, on the other hand, went on the run and had James drive him to his out-of-town girlfriend's home in Starke, Florida.

Michael was super proud of what he had done, still believing he had murdered an abuser, and bragged to everyone at his girlfriend's home about it, even the neighbor.

On April 19th, police caught up to Michael and arrested him.

But it was the, it was an electrocution, not a firing squad like this will be.

Uh, but, uh, at the Florida State Prison in Stark, Florida, the most aptly named town you've ever seen.

Uh, but yeah.

It's a very clinical process.

I was just and it was like a night shoot.

We were in Stark, Florida, and he's referencing Joel's referencing like the previous weekend we had walked through Stark, Florida, and we were at this religious store and they had all sorts of like Bible.

And it was the middle of the night, and he was leaving at like 7 in the morning.

And I had to figure out how to get these dolls.

And as I have occasionally regaled you with the story of July 1984, I'm doing my first talk show in Jacksonville, Florida, and I come up on the media witness list for a, um, fellow named David Robinson, who had brutally murdered some people in Miami some years earlier.

And so I got in the car early, early in the morning to get to the Florida State Prison in Starke.

Best name ever for a place where a, a state prison is held.

Starke, Florida.

Starke with an E.

And, uh, and there are about, I think there are 12 of us who are media witnesses.

There's me, some wire service people, some print reporters from, uh, uh, from Jacksonville, Miami, Tallahassee, Pensacola, all over the state.

Shouldn't they be good enough and paying enough attention to not forget schools? You would think, right? They're not.

And when they fail to do their job correctly, when they fail to represent you, the college football fan, correctly, when they fail at this honor they've been given, that you, Darren, in Greenbrier, West Virginia, or Jenna in Lehigh, Utah, or Sam in Stark, Florida, that you every week would sit down and you'd build...

I mean, I know a guy...

Steven from Virginia used to call into these radio shows that I would do.

That could be eight, nine win teams.

and send them overseas? You know, when I was growing up, and I think this might resonate with you, maybe if you're a BYU fan, a Kansas fan, if you're a UCF fan, you grew up in Stark, Florida, or let's say you grew up in Lehigh, Utah.

Let's say that you're from Topeka, Kansas.

For me, as a guy from Valonia, Arkansas, if I wanted to go watch the Razorbacks play, that was my childhood team with the Arkansas Razorbacks.
