Stargirl

Okay.

You took Superman, Flash, John Stewart, Plastic Man, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Supergirl, Shazam, Hawkgirl, Stargirl, Black Canary, and Firestorm.

Who do you think your strongest minifigure is? Straight up detail.

Oh, detail? Ooh.

yearbookToday we have Elena Huffman as Skyped in Dinah Lance, AKA Black Canary.

We have Brit Irvin as Courtney Whitmore, AKA Stargirl, and Michael Shanks in his last ex- appearance as Carter Hall, AKA Hawkman.

Uh, we also have Michael Hogan returning as General Slade Wilson, AKA Deathstroke, kinda.

Uh, we also have Laurie Trellio, uh, in her first of three appearances as Lieutenant Trotter, and Anne Marie DeLuce as TV reporter.

It was a cute scene.

Um, nothing really special about it.

I mean, he does the, the whole falling pet- rose petals, which is a, a proposal only Clark could pull off, as Stargirl-

Yeah

...

Stargirl, Stripe, and Shining Knight, uh, in a battle that they can, uh, that they have no hope to win in.

And, uh-

Stargirl doesn't have powers? What, it's all, it's all in her staff?

Yeah, she even says it in the episode.

She goes, "Hey, idiot-

Okay.

And he was able, even though he probably has the least ability out of everybody, he was able to, like, really cut The General while they're, like, fighting.

We asked what are the scenes or moments that we as fans wanna see, and we tried to nail them, as many as possible." And it's a really, really fun, really, really gorgeous book, and there is a multiple page preview here that kind of gives you an idea of just kind of the everyone involved, uh, everything is on the table type big widescreen action this book has.

Um, and I remember reading here, the last page is this M.C. Escher-like shot with Superman and Wonder Woman and Alan Scott, Green Lantern, and Stargirl with just kind of those cascading stairways moving on all axes of planes.

And it's a really, really cool shot.

Um, this was one of those books that for years I was always like, "Oh, I need to get this." And when Carlos Pacheco passed I was like, "Oh, I've ...

Pfft.

Clark and Chloe's investigation leads to the abandoned headquarters of the Justice Society of America [drum beat] where Clark meets Courtney Whitmore, Kent Nelson, and the extremely angry Carter Hall.

Ooh.

The old heroes do not exactly welcome the new ones.

Carter blames the government and himself for allowing the JSA to be exposed, arrested, and destroyed while Oliver immediately starts poking at the giant winged man with a mace.

Courtney refuses to let the Society stay buried, especially after Wesley Dodds is murdered and the killer begins targeting the remaining members.

[alarmed sound effect] There you go.

I'm sorry.

So they don't have a picture of her, but they have an artist rendition.

And then on the bottom level, they have Hawkman, Stargirl, and Zatara.

But Zatara is also just a silhouette, but it's a silhouette wearing a top hat because she's in her magic costume.

And I think that might be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in the show.
