Brant GuilloryHOST

I know somebody will look at the schedule and go, wait a minute, you had four different dogfighting games.
Brant GuilloryHOST
9:07
How much variety did you really have? But up to this year, we had one, and that was a Star Wars one.
Brant GuilloryHOST
9:14
So we'd been lacking in variety over the years.
Brant GuilloryHOST
9:17
the course of the years and that we hadn't had any dog fighting stuff.

Brant GuilloryHOST
36:56
And all
MikeHOST
36:57
the Seinfeld characters, yeah.
Brant GuilloryHOST
36:58
yeah yeah and uh and we had like a you know the the star wars dog fighting combat the uh attack wing game in there but but by and large we stuck to pretty shooty bangy stuff now that we're starting to expand the audience a little bit i i don't mind us expanding the oil spot a little bit and and getting to some war game adjacent stuff so a military themed rpg i think fits the spirit of what we're doing pretty well so uh mike before you had to take off What did you get in on Saturday morning? Did you sit down and get to play in anything or were you still just walking around like the watcher from Marvel Comics?
MikeHOST
37:33
Exactly.
Eric StruthersHOST
39:58
Because listen...
Eric StruthersHOST
40:01
i love that this didn't these didn't have to be ginormous on the scope of a fallen order or a battlefront sizzle sizzle and that's another thing that lucasfilm they say that they're gonna just lean into these smaller star wars games Which, come on, if you can get some really cool games that you don't have to pour 40 hours into to be, I mean, that's a win for everybody, man.
Eric StruthersHOST
40:28
Because I loved Jedi Survivor and Jedi Fallen Order, but it is a gee golly commitment, don't you know?
IrajHOST
40:36
you have got to want to get it
Eric StruthersHOST
43:41
I have exhausted those.
RandyHOST
43:43
You've exhausted them?
Eric StruthersHOST
43:46
there are no more encounters before i have to go and get it's it's quite embarrassing i'll just freely admit it but that's the deal uh but anyway in other video game news along those same lines of the smaller scale games lucasfilm says that they are exploring star wars games that will surprise fans now what that means i don't know but they're being more flexible about pitches and they're going to try some different stuff
IrajHOST
44:17
I wish they would do that for their shows.
EricHOST
13:47
On the heels of the success of Star Wars Zero Company and Star Wars Galactic Racer, Douglas Riley, a Lucasfilm exec, sat down with the game business show to talk about the future of Lucasfilm Games and announced that the company will be less restrictive about the pitches they accept going forward.
EricHOST
14:01
Now, you may remember that for about a decade, EA had the exclusive rights to Star Wars games.
EricHOST
14:06
We got Battlefront, we got Jedi Fallen Order, That was about it, right? They had these big AAA huge games, but they couldn't really expand so much.
EricHOST
14:15
But now, after we have people like Bit Reactor and people like Fuse Games making Zero Company and Galactic Racer to massive critical and fan acclaim, it seems that they are opening up the floodgates for pitches.
EricHOST
14:27
So, Wes, based on this new news, how do you feel about the fact that maybe we're going to get a wide variety of Star Wars games? Could we really recreate the early 2000s?
WesHOST
14:39
I would love it.
WesHOST
14:41
I didn't think that Star Wars Zero Company was going to be as fun as it is.

5 MINS LATER

EricHOST
20:16
Like, we have all these new different types of games.
AceHOST
12:26
Uh-huh
JoshHOST
12:26
... they're actually kind of doing with Star Wars Games, 'cause they're kind of working with, like, Zero Company in Galactic Racer.
JoshHOST
12:32
Maybe not to Ace who, you know, we all know doesn't like flying.
AceHOST
12:35
Uh, Zero Company I might've liked.
AlexHOST
51:40
Preston, which, which one of these two...
AlexHOST
51:42
You have two Star Wars games this year.
PrestonHOST
51:44
Mm.
AlexHOST
51:45
Uh, which one's on track to be your game of the year?
Greg SewartHOST
40:53
Although...
Greg SewartHOST
40:54
Star Wars Racing comes out this week, but I got a little bit of time before Grand Theft Auto, obviously.
Greg SewartHOST
41:00
And I love Ghost of Yotei.
Greg SewartHOST
41:01
Yep.

Chris JohnstonHOST
50:14
It's like all the stuff that you love in iote but it's like a light version of a rogue like it's not like a separate game or anything like that yeah not to that extent but it uh it looks awesome and i actually really enjoyed the legends multiplayer in the original ghost of tsushima and i know they did it for they did it again for this yeah iote i've not played the version in iote but that was that was a lot of fun uh in ghost of tsushima which i think you should go back and play ghost as well
Greg SewartHOST
50:45
yes I think on my short list is obviously GTA 6 is coming out.
Greg SewartHOST
50:51
So Star Wars is coming out this week.
Greg SewartHOST
50:53
Galactic Racer.
Dave GonzalesHOST
14:50
I have some great Star Wars video game moments.
Dave GonzalesHOST
14:52
I'm actually sad there aren't more consistent Star Wars video games.
Dave GonzalesHOST
14:55
I'm definitely in the pocket for that.
Dave GonzalesHOST
14:56
I'm like one of those people who I'm addicted to the mobile game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.
Shannon EnoHOST
1:06
I'm like, no, you will call me Spider-Shan.
Shannon EnoHOST
1:09
No. Tonight we are talking about Star Wars games, though, so...
Shannon EnoHOST
1:17
Yeah, I am a huge Star Wars fan and I am excited to do this.
Shannon EnoHOST
1:22
I also do host a podcast, co-host a podcast called Star Wars Dads.

18 MINS LATER

Shannon EnoHOST
19:49

John CumminsHOST
19:52

John CumminsHOST
19:54

John CumminsHOST
19:58
