But I remember when Knights of the Old Republic came out on Xbox and he's like, dude, you have to fucking come over and play this game with me.

And I was expecting more like what the Force Unleashed ended up being, like, oh, you're playing the Jedi, whatever.

And I was fucking thrilled to find out that, in my mind, they made this Star Wars Final Fantasy.

You know, it's not that.

Well, no, I've got, like...

Shaak Ti's Force Repulse ability, as far as I know, the only time she uses Force Repulse is in the Force Unleashed video game, which is not canon and, like, all the abilities are overpowered because it's, you know, it's a video game.

And, like, I think that's the only time she uses Force Repulse.

Like, where did they get Force Repulse for her, like, outside of that video game?

Yeah.

I think what has been understood as canon, but now maybe quote-unquote legends, is in The Force Unleashed.

That's something I would push back and maybe didn't enjoy as much in the video games of the past.

I mean, when I'm playing Force Unleashed, I'm not thinking about this.

in that much detail but it's later on as the debates and the podcasts become wider and longer you're having those things I kind of like that it's gotten back to the power meter in a way because I think it's the correct version of it versus just well why can't you it's like yeah no here's reasons why I think of you know just Kylo Ren saying you know to Rey like the effort would kill you you know ties to the end of Last Jedi ties to the end of of luke with everything going on in there um just makes a lot of sense um i do find and i actually think like the fallen order um survivor series calcastus of it all i think they did a good job of it's a video game so it's gonna have some video game mechanics you're gonna learn things you're gonna level up um but you know here's why here's why you don't suddenly have that ability uh it could be funny where you're like oh now i remember how to triple jump on the wall okay But they really put it, weaved it well into the story of the European Jedi.

Yeah, I remember that one being like, as soon as I saw that I was able to go to Dathomir, I'm like, Dathomir in a video game? I'm going to Dathomir.

And then there's tons of bosses we could use for that.

Like the Force Unleashed games have got some really good bosses.

It was just, it is what it is, and I liked what I liked from it, but it wasn't immersive in that sense.

Playing The Force Unleashed, it was the first time that I realized it is possible to feel like a Jedi in a video game.

because I was, like, doing all of the cool things.

I was just so overpowered.

I feel like Knights of the Old Republic is trying to tell stories.

You can just be overpowered through it or whatever, right? And The Force Unleashed was like a much, you know, there's a story, but it was more like, hey, let's get some really cool combat here and then wrap a story around it.

And I just love that feel.

And I think that... that they could something like that, you know, with like a really deep story.

'Cause it's got Sam Moss's face in it, who does a lot of Star Wars stuff.

He does the, the voice of Darth Maul, and he's also, like, the face and mocap in the Force Unleashed game.
