how sad it is to play like the sealed in competitive way like in the pre-release it's super fun uh but we have to say that they have really i think they managed to do a very good draft game compared to like when they made star wars destiny that was awful for draft and just completely awful uh and some game stuff doesn't even have drafts like lorcan but like that they really hit it there sometimes you can open like this awkwardly the pool and you would get screwed but that is kind of as going into a premier event and you got your counter

yeah i've been a board gamer pretty heavily for many years and back in the day i used to play the x-wing miniatures games uh maybe you guys have heard of it or played it yeah great great game and that was also by fancy flag games so i was uh periodically checking their websites for updates on the new ships they will release and whatnot and then they released a new card game called star wars destiny which i really got into and that was my first real card game it was great great fun but i played it mostly like a casual person and that got cancelled and afterwards i i dabbled a bit in both magic and pokemon and they didn't hold my interest.

yeah and and of course ah smacking my uh hand here on the table sorry listeners um Of course, I dabbled in I didn't play a lot of Star Wars Destiny when it was going, partly because I was a little skeptical of dice mechanics in a competitive environment.

And and I do think there's a lot of elements of Star Wars Unlimited that felt like Maybe they kind of started the drawing board with the question of, OK, how do we make Star Wars Unlimited or sorry, Star Wars Destiny, but without the dice? And I kind of like that.

yeah i mean i played a handful of destiny events not enough that i would say that i was confident to know the game or the meta at all but like it seemed fun but i'm with you i just don't really like dice and competitive play um i say coming from miniatures uh maybe that maybe that's correlated
