Coming on December the 1st on 4K in a steelbook in the US from Paramount Pictures, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

... because I haven't seen it in a long time, but this is my favorite, uh, Star Trek movie.

This is going to be one of those movies where the further away from it I get, the more I hate it.

I'm about to record an episode of our Star Trek podcast, and that's kind of how I feel about the next movie we're doing that I've already watched.

I'm like, the further I get away from it, the more I dislike it.

Again, I'm hearing this secondhand, that he turned them down because he didn't want it to be his 10th and final film.

Hey, Mary, how you doing? It's part two of our discussion about Star Trek, the motion picture.

So as always, spoilers ahead.

OK, with Spock's help, the Enterprise finally gets its engines working properly and races toward the mysterious gigantic cloud.

I do.

And ultimately, I think this is a sophisticated movie that certainly doesn't have the pew, pew, pew laser battles that we are accustomed to with big sort of sci-fi fantasy action movies.

And given the existence of Star Wars at the time, I think the expectation was, okay, Star Trek is going to be this big sort of space opera action movie, and it wasn't that.

So I think a lot of us, when we first saw it, especially as young people, were kind of disappointed.

Again, I'm having a meeting with the guys.

Hopefully when I get back from my trip about kind of just rebranding a little bit in terms of kind of just like, you know, a logo, artwork, stuff like that.

So if you are, again, if you do design work, you kind of like podcast artwork, logos, let me know.

He finally wasn't tied up with a TV show any longer.

He's not in the new Star Trek that much.

He's in mostly, like, right in the beginning and a little at the end.

But, like, I was worried for a minute.

I've won a couple times and it's a new person this time.

We don't know quite yet what it's going to be, but I'm very excited about that.
