And because we're going to be talking about First Contact soon, we had to do something else first.

So we are here to talk about Star Trek Next Generation Best of Both Worlds, which is Season 3, Episode 26, and Season 4, Episode 1.

A two-part, fantastic pair of

My, my grandparents had came and picked me up and I was laying in bed at my grandma's house in my, in my bedroom at her house.

I had like a bedroom for me in her house and, watching this in syndication right because this is probably this came out in 1990 this is probably 95 yeah this is probably 1995 94 that i was watching it so several years later but it was new to me but i was already like very much into star trek the next generation but just watching in syndication when i could and i caught um part one of this and i don't know when i saw part two but so i just saw like captain picard being like assimilated by the borg and it you know ends i'm like oh god you know like this ship's going to be destroyed so it's a weird

thing when you at the at the time you could watch you could jump into a tv show in the middle of it and like like so i hadn't seen this episode when i was watching next generation but i knew that he got assimilated by the borg i think maybe i'd seen first contact first or something oh interesting It was at the time when you could just jump in the middle of a show and be like, well, I better watch the back catalog.

Yeah, you could just find something out.

We have done so far mission impossible, um, We did The Phantom, The Cable Guy.

We just did Happy Gilmore and Kingpin and Star Trek First Contact.

Weird to think that Star Trek First Contact is now a 30-year-old movie.

But yeah, so we've got a fun month coming up pretty soon.

I'm calling it Pre-Prequel Parts.

So it would have been topical, at least in that regard.

So it was, in fact, Star Trek First Contact that we saw and not Generations.

So that's my fault.

I apologize.

I was thinking about this today, and I was like...

That it feels like, um, the TNG movies when they had to excuse, like, why is Worf here? And in First Contact-

Mm-hmm

...

I don't know what the status is of Zoe, the Manhunter.

But I do know that, obviously, it seems like when they took out her heart, when John did that, much like the female Borg queen in Star Trek First Contact.

But anyway, yeah, I think she's dead.

I think that's why I'm handling it to Linny.

But again, Joe did a fabulous job.

The character is unhinged and has a lot of issues, just like Maxwell, just like taking credit like that Klingon, and then even where he was screaming at Kirk in that moment reminded me of Picard in First Contact.

Like, there was just so much happening that it was just great television, like just great acting, great storytelling, and Paul went toe-to-toe with Joe, and I thought that was great.

Now before I forget, obviously, M'Benga decides to take the fall because he's trying to leave Starfleet, and he's all like, "Well, if I decide to do this," and he ruins my career, blah, blah, blah, blah.

I've only done two.

My number two is the only Next Generation movie in the, uh, in the top four, First Contact.

That is my number two.

That's all four of my movies right there.
