Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

So once we get the DAS pass for Slinky Dog, I expect that'll be, you know, at least a 45 or hour-long wait.

So at 9:30 we have a Star Tours Lightning Lane.

My daughter really hoping with the shoes she's gonna...

She's, like, 39 and three-quarters inches [laughs] flat-footed, so hopefully with the shoes on we're gonna hit that 40 inches.

So I, I booked one of those just to burn it and be able to then hopefully book maybe Smuggler's Run or for my husband and I Tower of Terror later in the day, 'cause that's...

At each park, there's, like, one thing I wanna ride, and that is, that is it [laughs] at Hollywood Studios, 'cause I loved that when I was a kid.

So we have a 9:30 Star Tours, and then after that we don't have anything else booked until we have a Roundup Rodeo reservation at 1:25 PM.

So hopefully we'll be able to get on Slinky Dog in there from her DAS pass, and then if we can fit it in, we'll do a DAS pass probably for Toy Story Mania or Alien Swirling Saucers, 'cause Toy Story is her, like, main Disney obsession.

Uh, all the way down in five, this is a tier one attraction, for some strange reason, Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run, uh, is, uh, below a few shows there.

Um, just above number four, Star Tours, um, which is always a walk-on.

So yeah, um, surprising that Millennium Falcon is still a [laughs] tier one.

Uh, number three is Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage.

Mm-hmm.

And I'm not sure which ones those are.

Right, I remember, I, I think they got rid of Star Tours.

Am I right? Or is that still two?

And we were just like, "Let's hop over," so we just headed over, um, for a quick hour.

Well, we had not done the Star Wars stuff, so we headed over to Hollywood Studios so we could do Star Tours right away, a walk on there, followed by a quick snack at Baseline Taphouse.

By the way, that pretzel gets better and better every time I eat it.

Oh my gosh, and the charcuterie board.

Oh, it's so good there.

Yep, and then we went on Rise, which we were able to get on pretty quickly with that amazing single rider.

Uh, and so that way I was able to get all of my Star Wars stuff done 'cause I'm like, "I don't know if I've ever done a trip where I've not gone on Star Tours," and I was feeling kinda sad about it.

Yeah, yeah.

And because I trained to be an illustrator, that was instead of going into animation, I trained as an illustrator.

and um the and so i put all my illustrations in that took that to uh to disney and uh they they gave me a job i came oh they tested me out first they they wanted me to paint these uh there were some posters for m m's and it was a star tours was doing a uh do you remember star tours do you remember the

Can I just go back really quickly to the Star Wars murals really quickly? Because how do you know how long they were there and did they ever come over to Disney World? Because we also got Star Tours.

I was just curious because I remember when the Energizer Bunny was was sponsoring the Disney World one.

Not happening.

It is Star Tours.

This has always been a fine scene, but I don't know, watching it ahead of this discussion, I, I just really enjoyed it.

It reminded me a little bit of Star Tours in the, uh, Hoth, uh, portion of the mission where you go sliding through the snow after you've taken a stray hit and stuff like that.

But i- it also just speaks to Han, that even after all these years, he is just that crazy that he would not have suggested this to the Resistance, that this is how they should get the X-wings past the shield, but he was willing to do it himself because he's that cocky he can do it.

But, uh, Daz, what do you think about the scene?

Uh, you know, i- if, a theme of Han and his luck.

Yeah, it, it, it's a fun watch.

And I, I do like the Star Tours comparison.

It does feel like that.
