Well, you know, what was neat is I got a chance to interview and I got a chance to talk one-on-one with the late Stanton Friedman, the physicist.

I mean, he was a genius.

And he came to the table later where he became more open to the possibility of aliens and a lot of telekinesis and teleportation and all that stuff.

They shared material with selected researchers, including nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman, one of the most prominent investigators of the Roswell story.

The circle that formed around the papers understood what was at stake.

Mary Mays, at the time of this incident, was working on her master's degree in radiation biology at New Mexico University.

And she told Stanton Friedman and Dr. James McDonald that she was actually asked by the university to investigate the landing traces.

She visited the site, confirmed the melted sand, the burned vegetation.

She took samples, which she studied in a lab.

And so that's where it, uh, that's where it started for me with when I showed up to produce the first X Conference, all of a sudden I was rubbing elbows with all these people that I knew from seeing them on TV.

You know, there's Nick Pope, and there's Stanton Friedman, and Dr. Roger Leir, and George Noory, and George Knapp, and all these guys that I totally looked up to.

And all of a sudden I was walking among them, and they were letting me interview them, and I was listening to them.

And it was, uh, it was at that first conference when I really got to see the inside of the UFO field, uh, at least the way it existed back then, but that's another story.

I mean, why would the top intelligence official after 30 years or more than 30 years went by when the incident after the incident happened, then he decided to go public.

He was approached by the late researcher Stanton Friedman.

And that's when he started to tell what happened.

And after that, other military officials, including the public relations officer, Walter Hout, who was ordered to confess.

A lot of people call him the godfather of UFO.

How about Stanton Friedman? Did anyone ever hear of Stanton Friedman? He was a real gem.

He was from up in I think I see one hand.

But anyway, [laughs] no, but this has been a lot of fun.

And this theme of creating a political unification facilitated by the arrival of extraterrestrials is also reiterated by others within the ufology community.

None other than Stanton Friedman, who I'm sure most people have seen a time or two on TV, used to make routine appearances on the now-defunct TV program Sightings, was on a Larry Kane live show when they were doing an interview live from Roswell, if I'm not mistaken.

Stan Friedman ends all of his lectures with an extremely suggestive question.

He says, ìWho speaks for planet Earth? Argentina?î Now, implicit in this rhetorical question is the contention that the present nation-state system is hopelessly inadequate for dealing with the inevitability of alien contact.
