Brian WebberHOST

I got a job in 1996, among many jobs I was probably not fully prepared for.
Brian WebberHOST
24:55
I was the radio voice of the Stanford Cardinal because I was a Stanford alum.
Brian WebberHOST
24:58
So 1996, I was 26 years old.
Brian WebberHOST
25:02
The voice had not rounded into form.
Brian WebberHOST
24:03
Friends called him Denny.
Brian WebberHOST
24:05
The late, great Dennis Green, and what a gentleman, wonderful guy, when he coached the Stanford Cardinal, and I was just so annoying, I know you're gonna find this hard to believe, and persistent.
Brian WebberHOST
24:16
He didn't have to do-
Brian WebberHOST
24:17
do-an interview with student media.
Jason SmithHOST
36:43
But now it's Tanner McKee Yeah.
Mike HarmonHOST
36:45
Former Stanford Cardinal, six-round pick going all the way back to 2023.
Mike HarmonHOST
36:50
No more Andy Dalton there to throw interceptions in the, in the end zone.
Jason SmithHOST
36:53
Now, here's the big question, because, you know, I'll, I'll play a doctor here-
John ParsonsGUEST
54:27
Two you won't like because, oh, they only played one or two years.
Alex GruskinHOST
54:33
Still no Stanford Cardinal picked.
Alex GruskinHOST
54:34
Notable.
Alex GruskinHOST
54:37
I have one written down, but I'm not going to pick her.

11 MINS LATER

Alex GruskinHOST
65:20
Although LaPotta might technically still have a year of eligibility.
Alex GruskinHOST
65:23
But we said active, not eligible.
Alex GruskinHOST
65:27
Again, you didn't write down a single Stanford Cardinal? No,
John ParsonsGUEST
65:30
who was the Stanford player you wrote down? Connie Ma.
Shane DennisHOST
10:06
So I don't know what that means to you, Jackson, but all right.
Shane DennisHOST
10:09
Jack's beloved Stanford Cardinal, he has come to the realization that they're not having a very good year, so he's going to go the total.
Shane DennisHOST
10:15
He's going under 55-and-a-half.
Shane DennisHOST
10:17
Dylan, don't try to figure out why we picked Elon and Stanford.
Grayson SingletonHOST
25:45
In my conversations with him, I think he's pretty excited on Stanford.
Grayson SingletonHOST
25:50
Like, I think he's really, really excited to go be a Stanford Cardinal, to go live out there in Palo Alto, California.
Grayson SingletonHOST
25:57
He's really excited for that too.
Grayson SingletonHOST
25:59
So I don't...
Joey WeaverHOST
68:14
[laughs] Thankfully, we have a sign for that.
Joey WeaverHOST
68:16
Uh, and also at 7:30 on the ACC Network Extra, that's streaming only, the Stanford Cardinal, that of producer Scott's headwear right now, um, sh- shout out Stanford Alex.
Joey WeaverHOST
68:29
They're taking on the Elon Phoenix at, a- again, that's at 7:30 Eastern.
Joey WeaverHOST
68:35
Um, can, can somebody remind me why Elon is traveling from, uh...
Adam DruckerGUEST
4:17
Jermine Sharif, who we know has, you know, had a history of winning at multiple different schools now that she's transferred to Washington and is there for another year.
Adam DruckerGUEST
4:26
So it's great for the Stanford Cardinal to get her spot but i definitely you know one of the favorites coming into this regional was probably a heavy favorite given the field um you know with cal kind of not really having a great representative as a favorite there and washington never not being in the major conversation as well but transitioning that to weissheim though she was actually kind of one of my like little pics before the thing i was like i was really impressed with her performance at all americans then she kind of got injured or some had some sort of retirement um in the qualifying stage i believe of all americans but she she definitely made an impression on me when i watched and so for her to come through this draw was definitely aided by some upsets the fact that she was able to make the semi-final when convincing convincingly there um and not have to play the number one seed, Monica Ekstrand, who was part of one of those upsets earlier, but got a great win over Tianmei Wang, who was also kind of in this, you know, fantastic form throughout the beginning stages of this draw, also barely dropping games.
Adam DruckerGUEST
5:37
So that quarterfinal was a really interesting match to watch, but Weissheim ultimately prevailing.
JohnHOST
5:42
Yeah, and first time NCAA singles qualifier for Weisheim.
Shawn HeroldGUEST
6:52
Uh, customer project.
Shawn HeroldGUEST
6:54
Um, you know, we did Stanford Athletics.
Shawn HeroldGUEST
6:56
It's a pretty straightforward system we put in there.
Shawn HeroldGUEST
6:59
That was for their a- athletics department, so that was a 34 foot by 12 foot wall we did for them.
James LewisHOST
2:26
I used to live out there.
James LewisHOST
2:29
Nobody cares about the Stanford Cardinal.
James LewisHOST
2:32
Like, it's survival of the fittest, and either you're good enough to be in the Big Ten and SEC, or you're not good enough to be in the Big Ten and/or SEC.
James LewisHOST
2:45
I think ultimately Miami/Clemson, they're gonna, they're gonna end up in, in the Big Ten or the SEC.
