"Humboldt County Judge on Tuesday," she says, "released a man from Antioch, California, who was arrested in a drug and gun raid in Myers Flat over the objection of the Humboldt County DA, even though this guy was already out on bail in two other felony cases." So the third time isn't even the charm here.

45-year-old William Lavon Pree was released from the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on supervised release with continuous electronic monitoring, according to the Humboldt County DA Stacey Eads, and a court order signed by Judge Kelly Neal.

Prosecutors had asked Judge Neal to keep Pree in jail without bail.

Uh, the, uh, DA, Stacey Eads, said the office objected to his release based on public safety concerns stemming from his new charges, his serious and violent criminal history, and the fact that he was out on bail on similar crimes when he was arrested again.

Now, under the judge's order, Pree has to wear an electronic monitor, has to report to a supervision officer twice a month, oh my goodness, uh, stay in Humboldt County, submit to searches and drug and alcohol testing at any time, stay away from illegal drugs, and not possess guns.

He was out on jail... or excuse me, out on bail, uh, for a 2024 Humboldt County case and a case in 2025 from Contra Costa County, um, when the Humboldt County Drug Task Force arrested him on September the 30th.
