What is what was the goal when you guys started talking about making this documentary? What did you guys want to get across?
8:17
Yeah, I think from the outset, one of the things that I was particularly drawn to the project was, you know, when the decision came down, there was a huge media influx into the state nationally and internationally.
8:29
We had reporters who were covering the story.
8:33
And one of the things that was missing was the voices of these Alabama women and families through the eyes of of Alabama storytellers.
8:42
So one of the goals that I had for this was to be able to shine a light on this story and to tell these women's stories, but do so through the lens of an Alabama crew and Alabama storytellers.
8:54
So I was really excited about the idea of that process.

24:04
From your perspective, can you tell us kind of what people were going through in this documentary and what you guys captured in that regard?
24:12
Yeah, I think, you know, when you start out on a documentary, you never really know where it's going to go, right? Because you have to find other than Abby, who we knew was going to be the primary subject from the beginning, we didn't know who else was going to sort of fill out the So we conducted a lot of interviews with so many wonderful women, families who were going through IVF, subject matter experts.
3:10
Can you explain to us today what is arthritis?
3:15
So the literal translation of the word arthritis means inflammation of the joints.
3:21
But in everyday talk, we usually use the word to refer to any disease or condition that affects joints.
3:30
And there are about 130 types of arthritis.
3:33
Mm-hmm.
3:35
The most common type is osteoarthritis, which is a sort of wear and tear, degeneration of the joints over time with use, with injury, with aging, and with other factors that have mechanical influences on the joint, as well as there's some local inflammation in the joint area.
3:55
Okay.
4:31
So can you tell us then why joint health is such an important part of overall health and especially quality of life?
2:04
Could you share with us what led you into nutrition and ultimately inspired you to start Flavorful Nutrition?
2:10
Yeah, sure.
2:11
So we will start when I was a teenager.
2:14
My fabulous grandmother told me, and I probably took it to the extreme, but she told me if I eat pasta, I'll lose weight.
2:25
So I definitely took that to the extreme.
2:27
And for two years of my life, all I ate was pasta and drank crystal light iced tea.
2:33
I did not discriminate against pasta shapes or sizes.
