St. Lawrence University

You know Canton pretty well, having worked there.

I grew up in Canton, where St. Lawrence University is.

So hockey was a big part of a small town, small village.

And I kind of reached my top of my game at the local high school and needed to move on somewhere else.

Yeah.

And no one regrets signing an NHL contract, but in my heart, whenever their career is over, I feel like they're going to say, well, I probably should have stayed another year and enjoyed that environment.

Speaking of environment, it's changed a lot since you were a freshman at St. Lawrence University.

The NIL name, image, and likeness has really changed things.

It looks like Colorado from this side.

I think Colorado costs about the same to go to St. Lawrence University.

Shout out to St. Lawrence.

I got them back there over my shoulder, too.

... you know, it reminds me of, of our conversation with, uh, St. Lawrence University and the Adirondack semester and, and, and that was part of their program, is having everyone had a sit spot.

Oh, that's right.

Just to get away from everything going on and, and absorbing the beauty of the Adirondacks.

Mm.

Uh, I had two players that I had coached at St. Lawrence University, uh, Michael Pelche and Dave, or Richie Stewart, who passed away.

Um, they actually jumped together, um, out of the building.

And, you know, I know so many people, uh, that had significant others or children-

Rochester.

Yeah, I went to St. Lawrence University.

We played Rochester in basketball.

I grew up on the Highway 10 corridor between Appleton and Manitowoc, and my parents growing up, both of them worked in Appleton, and this was kind of like our, our city of choice.

So it's kinda fun to come back here and check out Lawrence Street 'cause I did basketball camp at St. Lawrence University as a kid.

And, you know, going to the mall as a kid, and even now still, it's just kind of our, our place, our city that we came to to kind of connect.

Oh, that's awesome.

Then you do like a, you know, like a normal golf ball.

So, yeah, I mean, you know, I just I'm I grew up in the north and like we I had St. Lawrence University.

That was one of those spots where they had the indoor facility brand new when I was there.

Nothing crazy.

It was just kind of a makeshift.

but the golf teams got to go in there and, and I was over there a lot with, uh, you know, my, the coach that was there, PJ, um, the PJ member that was at St. Lawrence university.

I knew her well, Mary Lawrence, and she was always very inviting.

Um, and, uh, we used to do it a lot.
