Obviously Martin Jepsen has been on the podcast a few times and said some really nice words about the podcast and I think the fact alone that he has chosen the podcast as a route to chat to you guys, obviously when when Dean Jones, headed the club in May, I think it was, obviously they reached out to me first, and, that interview was done, actually prior to, the announcement, and so they really used, this, as the channel, to kind of get his point across, and, think that says it all really i think that sort of says it all you know this has never been this podcast has never been in competition with the club or you know against the club in any stretch it's completely the opposite you know i'm honest and i speak my mind on stuff and you know there's there's things i'll disagree with and there's things i want to be better of course there is but ultimately this is i'm a supporter of the club that's the beauty of it isn't it that's what it's all about if i didn't care about the club if i didn't want the club to be better i wouldn't have this simple as that so I think the club and the podcast can work hand in hand it has really over the three and a half years so I think they'll like it yeah I think they'll like it so we'll leave it at that thank you Carl Alan Nice to see Sam Grice getting man of the match for Wales against Scotland, he scored a try too, hopefully he can kick on and Alan also mentions that we're linked with Lebanese back rower Tony Suka, yes we are indeed, that has been the rumour that's gone around a couple of weeks.

obviously he's playing for london in the world cup at the moment west tigers back rower big big body um a bit about him as well if you read anything from the west tigers forums and their fans he's not a player they want to let go um he was also referenced on the lover of bleed podcast on monday as someone who's been pitched to super league clubs um but yeah it's a name that's done the rounds within cast fans for probably two three weeks now um so it didn't really take me by surprise when i heard that will be an interesting one it's clearly a position we want to go for isn't it back row is a clear clear hole really when you look at the squad obviously with Alex Mellor moving on particularly you need to direct the placement there for a starting back row particularly in that left edge could Tony be the man the young man from West Tigers maybe maybe he could be I think that's one worth keeping an eye on um I think the fact that Shane Wright is going to be surplus to requirements at St Helens, it seems.
Ross WilliamsHOST
34:07
There's an obvious link up there with Paul Rowley, isn't he? He's a player you brought across to Saints from Salford.
Ross WilliamsHOST
34:13
That would be one to have a look at as well.
Ross WilliamsHOST
34:15
That wouldn't massively shock me.
Ross WilliamsHOST
34:16
And let's be honest, if Saints want to get rid, you'd probably get a fairly cheap deal there as well.
Ross WilliamsHOST
34:21
So that's something we're probably going to look at.
Ross WilliamsHOST
34:24
But yeah, you brought up Sam Grice there as well.
Adam HawseHOST
1:46
I'm not convinced, but I'll ask him because the kangaroo's job is available after the World Cup.
Adam HawseHOST
1:53
Because Kevin Walters, he's heading over to the Super League with St. Helens.
Adam HawseHOST
1:55
So he's vacating the Kangaroos role.
Adam HawseHOST
1:58
This one's gone under the radar a bit.
DaveHOST
33:08
Banging or hanging.
DaveHOST
33:12
Yes, it's time for a bit of banging or hanging, and it's all about the Saints, you wonderful Saints people out there.
DaveHOST
33:18
Yes, the title is now or never for England.
DaveHOST
33:20
Good evening, Red V TV.
DaveHOST
33:22
But yes, here we are.
DaveHOST
33:23
Good to see Saints Elling.
DaveHOST
33:25
Saints Elling's back on the agenda.
DaveHOST
33:27
The only real banging or hanging stories that are coming out this week.
VolstagPANELIST
16:26
I've spoke about him all the time.
VolstagPANELIST
16:28
And as a Saints fan, you know, people will probably look and go, why are you endorsing a Wigan player? Listen, I support Saints, but I'm a rugby league fan at the end of the day.
VolstagPANELIST
16:39
And I want to see the best players playing for my country so I can sing and cheer.
VolstagPANELIST
16:45
You know, and that's what we want to see.

VolstagPANELIST
21:56
Once you start being successful, you're hungry then for more and more success.
VolstagPANELIST
22:01
And that goes...
VolstagPANELIST
22:03
It's basically, you know, Super League, doesn't it? How many times has Wigan and Saints won because it's success, success.
VolstagPANELIST
22:11
Bradford done it for years, didn't he? Leeds have done it for years.
JimmyHOST
19:45
To be
AbelPANELIST
19:46
fair, at Saints, the big problem this year has always been that question about they don't know where to put him because he's been playing at centre and then he's been at full-back and then they've had Saylor.
AbelPANELIST
19:55
So Saints' big problem really, I've said this before, was they want both of them players in the team.
AbelPANELIST
20:01
but they don't know where to put them.
AbelPANELIST
20:03
And you're paying big money for presumably both.

12 MINS LATER

CraigHOST
32:11
And
AbelPANELIST
32:11
the other thing is, all these things that were going into Walter's, the coach, it's Kevin Walters, isn't it? Yeah, yeah.
AbelPANELIST
32:16
Walter's mind, like, if I'm a Saints fan, I'm watching that worrying saying, what are we getting as a new coach here? Because he's got this stacked team of all these players, this embarrassment of Richie's being able to arrest Reece Walsh for a niggle and be able to put the man of the match from the grand final in at full back over him.

I debuted for Manusamoa in 2002.
SioneHOST

After the World Cup, I switched codes and signed with St. Helens.
SioneHOST

I won the Challenge Cup and Super League Grand Final in 2006.
SioneHOST

I played for Great Britain in 2007 and played for England at the Rugby League World Cup in 2008.
Matt SimsHOST

from Club News for a minute.
Matt SimsHOST
28:43
In fact, actually, just before we segue out of that, St. Helens announced the release of Nene McDonald just before we went on air as well tonight.
Matt SimsHOST
28:52
And before any Solver fans start getting a bit excited thinking that we're going to sign Nene, because I've seen a couple of comments um london is probably his location and destination um he was actually at the salford london game at the car pack um and he's got a lot of friends in that london um broncos team so i would not be surprised if london do go into super league that nene is uh london bound for next season um I'll confirm that when it's not just my...
Matt SimsHOST
29:21
I should put conjecture in this sometime, shouldn't I? But no, I wouldn't be surprised if we're seeing NA playing for London next season.
Jake KearnanHOST
36:25
No, definitely.
Jake KearnanHOST
36:26
Martin also saw over the last three or four days ago, it's official now, Tom Starling has signed a three-year deal, I believe, with the Saints.
Jake KearnanHOST
36:36
It's a huge recruitment there for the Saints and we all know what he can
Martyn SadlerHOST
36:42
provide.
Martyn SadlerHOST
36:44
Oh, I think he's an outstanding player and certainly a top-level signing for St Helens.
Martyn SadlerHOST
36:52
And, you know, St Helens have always had, you know, good dummy half players.
Martyn SadlerHOST
36:59
And obviously they've got Darrell Clark there.
Martyn SadlerHOST
37:02
But Tom Starling will...

New South Wales Group 6 they played against in Campbelltown and Monaro in Queanbeyan.

near Canberra, and then when Australia came over to England, they played Auckland on the way, then Salford, St. Helens, French side, Rouerge, 13, or Trez, I should say, Oldham and York, won them all.
Lee AddisonHOST
17:12
New Zealand played against North Queensland first, Central Queensland, Northern Division, Country first from New South Wales, North Coast, South West France, Barrow and Keithley, they lost games to North Queensland first and North Coast first.
Lee AddisonHOST
17:25
So, Plenty of activity in and around these World Cups and, again, must have been a multitude of games they were playing in 1975, Andrew.
Tony CollinsGUEST
21:19
And then they had the idea of kind of converting them into mini tours.
Tony CollinsGUEST
21:23
So as you said, go to Australia, you play the countrysides.
Tony CollinsGUEST
21:27
And some red sides come to Britain and Australia, New Zealand played Saints, Salford, York, Keighley.
Tony CollinsGUEST
21:35
And, yeah, some...
BobbyHOST
35:21
Similar to what you said before when I said about them resting players, it feels bigger to play for that kind of nation.
BobbyHOST
35:28
I think sometimes in England, I think fans have a really hard time separating that, say, Jack Welsey plays for Saints.
CallumHOST
35:36
Oh yeah,
BobbyHOST
35:36
definitely.
