I've also got an immense emotional attachment to the St George district where I moved in the early 70s and spent 45 years of my working life.

He worked at St George Hospital and St George Private.

My relationship with my patients over that time made me realise what great stories ordinary people tell.

Because the other thing that had happened to me is when I finished my year in the UK, so I finished my PhD submitting all of that thesis, and I'd been told that I've got a job lined up as a consultant back at St George Hospital.

I went to two weeks to stay with a mate of mine in Boston and on the way home.

And in that two weeks, they changed the whole hospital administration system.

And I know from our conversations in the past that what's, for me, very impressive about this is what you and Wendy have been doing is incredibly impressive, but you're now setting up structures where this will continue.

Yeah.

So we've now actually, all of that group I mentioned before, we've now become an official department within St George Hospital in the Division of Medicine.

So there's a the renal department, the cardiology department, and the homeless health department.
