I knew him well because he married me so many years ago but he was gent you know and he baptised all the kids and everything he's just a lovely man well remembered now all the time in St. Flannans they actually put it out over the social media and everything in St. Flannans College as well just to try and get people not even locality but from a farther field that would want to take part in a 5 or 10k

There's an event in Seed Savers as well.

The formal twinning was done then, and we've been back and forth to Lagenfeld, and they've been here a good bit.

Now, Dara Glenn from our committee has been in with you a couple of times this year, talking to you about the Erasmus programme, which has been an absolute runaway success, where we've had four schools tremendous, the CBS School and Bearfield National School, along with St. Flannans College and Rice College, have done exchanges back and forth and actually this week we have a group here from Lagenfeld.

So the twinning relationship, you know, it's a really vibrant one but that's down to the committee and the engagement that they have and the interest that they've shown.

You know, I put out expressions of interest just before COVID for anybody who's interested in coming on board in the committee and In fairness, the lads all put their hands up and said, along with Bernard Dilger and Monica Boe, who's a native German, and Diane Pfeiffer and Mary Morgan, myself, Phil and Dara.

Well, I learned to do that

when I got sent to Flannans.

Yeah, well, good.

I was given lessons in putting in buttons and stitching clothes.

That will be over on Saturday the 12th.

That was on this Saturday.

And indeed, over as well was the artist's exhibition in St. Flannans in the same place.

So it was a weekend full of art down in Kiddaloo, Ballina.

So like if either team, like if Don's can get three points there, at least running and Shannon Hibbs, I know I know they've had probably a harsh group in the UK League Cup and they've taken say one or two big losses but listen this is a big step for them now hopefully they can get a squad of players together and get their season up and running so that's probably the game to watch the weekend as well to be honest because that's basically like a six pointer too

Dean, what are the thoughts of Shannon Hibbs, do you think, or Morris? I think at this stage, because you think it's just get up there for the adventure, come back down, or is there genuine ambitions to try and stay up there and build?

Look, I think both of them would like to stay up there and build, but obviously I was involved with Hibbs last year, so I've kind of been keeping an eye on the few games they have played.

He'd been involved with Kilrush for years.

He'd been involved with Flannans, Rathorell and football.

And you just saw Conor, despite the massive crowds and everything, first man he goes to.

I was reared here in the 40s into the 50s and went to school here.

Went on to Flannans and Maynooth and over to Wales to the University and all these kind of places.

And I went, I suppose, I learned more and I've always believed that I learned more in faculty from Sean Harrington and his staff and his wife and his staff.
