St. Benedict's Preparatory School

Uh, when, uh, Chris Benn and I used to run these, uh, runs at Holmdel High School, where I coached, and, uh, on Sundays in the summer, people would show up and run.

And we started it very small with his kids at CBA and Holmdel kids, and St. Benedict showed up one time, where Cheserek was, and the coach comes out, he says, "Hey, I got this guy.

I don't know how good he is at running, but he's from Kenya," and blah, blah, blah.

And he goes out for a run.

... because he ran such a great program there.

And watching him coach at St. Benedict's, it was like this guy could be a gr- you know, not only a college head coach-

Mm-hmm

... at maybe any level, he could be a great college head coach, you know?

We know each other.

And I'm looking to get a job at St. Benedict's Prep.

And I'm there as a prospective teacher for the day.

And I go up into the science lab room.

Or non-public B, Montclair-Kimberly.

Non-public A, St. Benedict's.

Obviously, St. Benedict's number one team in the country.

And they don't do home and homes there.

They just play everybody once.

He lived in the next town over from me, is Glen Ridge up in Essex County.

You know, they're the only group one team in their division.

They're in a division with St. Benedict's, with Montclair-Kimberly, with West Orange, with Montclair, and they're a group one school.
