Warren Roberts, who's here tonight, is a young guy out of St. Aug that is really growing and providing great pass rush.

And then Jari Garner, another older guy out of St. Aug, really doing well as well.

You mentioned the red zone.

And when when we talked, when we met with you during the week, the radio team gets to chill with you for for a little bit as we get closer to game week.

We got to like hit them in the mouth first before like – because, you know, Memphis is a team that like – they like to come out big, come out hot.

But we had to like basically, you know, let us – yeah.

You are, you're a St. Aug kid and another guy playing that position, Jari Garner, St. Aug kid.

He's right down the road in New Orleans, and in another era, 100 times out of 100, Easton Royal is picking LSU.

But no different than Jakeem Stewart from a couple of years ago, the defensive lineman who was at St. Aug, went to Carr, reclassed, early enrolled, and went to Southern Cal because they offered more money than LSU did.

What has Jakeem Stewart done at Southern Cal? Relatively little.

I could even point to this year, this current LSU football team.

Everyone who has beaten them this year is undefeated.

St. Aug 6-0, Rumble 6-0, Carr 6-0.

Everyone who's beaten them is undefeated.

Can they get back up on the horse and beat a very good Brother Martin team? Don't know.

I remember going to schools with metal detectors and things of that nature you have to pass through 'em to go into the buildings, and, um, that s- that changed when I went to high school be- I graduated from St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, uh, because I could shoot a jump shot, because I could play basketball.

Um, I went to private Catholic school for high school.

Um-

This East Ascension team just knows how to win.

Their only loss of the season's to St. Aug. Y- watch for that team.

I want to talk about this St. Augustine training.

So Pelicans went to St. Augustine High School in New Orleans.

Basically had a private training.

They did their whole training camp day there.

You ain't got anything else to do.

Why not pull up and watch some Pelicans practice at the University of St. Augustine High School? Yes, man.

It has been a great morning for me so far.

College football is in style.

He spoke about wanting to do something with St. Augs a couple of days ago.

And I think that this is what he was he was mentioning about.

But obviously, as A.T., you know, there was, you know, Javon Felix, who's now an assistant coach with the New Orleans Pelicans, one of the greatest point guards to ever touch the ball in New Orleans, let alone St. Augustine High School.

And then, obviously, you had, you know, the new draft pick, Jaron Pierre, there, you know, Back in his hometown where I saw him electrify that gym so many times as well.

Yeah.

Well, as I mentioned in the intro, you grew up here, St. Augustine High School.

Congratulations, 75th anniversary of St. Augustine this year.

And your career then took you all over.

I mean, you were all over the country.

Yeah.

to bring that environment together and so special.

All right, you're a St. Aug guy, I have to talk about St. Aug for a moment.

Brian, one of the scores that we were talking about on Saturday, but as we didn't have it yet, it was a Saturday game.

St. Augustine is up there and there are a lot of people that are saying.

Don't just assume in Division I select that it's Edna Carr and the Seven Dwarfs because St. Augustine is there, they are playing well, and what better way to make a statement than to open up your district play in the Catholic League by getting a double-digit win against John Curtis.

Look, St. Aug has the talent.

They have the coach.

And Robert Valdez does a tremendous job over there.
