Squier

There's a ton of very talented guitarists that would love to be on your cue.

Yeah, go buy a $100 or $200 Squier or something like that.

I'm telling you, the Squier lines or the Epiphone, these guitars sound great and they feel great.

The budget line guitars are not the budget line guitars they were 10 and 20 years ago.

And even a mediocre performance on a guitar, we're talking open power chords or open tunings, is going to sound better.

It's okay, we get what you get.

We love Epiphone, we love Squier.

Yeah, [laughs] exactly.

Um-

It was like his, the Vinnie Vincent invasion thing with Vinnie's shredding was like this fake token shredding.

Well, I got to do this for the kids, you know, the 13-year-olds that are bought at Fender Squire, you know, or something.

But I was a 13 year old kid, right? When that came out, I was that third, 12, 13 year old kid.

And when it came out and I was like, wow, this is over the top.

One of the reasons the ch- this channel is not more successful is because I divide the, you guys up too much.

Uh, what I mean by that is, uh, I do a $4,000 Heritage Guitar, you know, custom shop, and then I do a Novo, and then I do a Firefly, and then I jump over and I do a, you know, like a, you know, a, a, you name it, like a Squier or an Epiphone.

And then I'm ja- jumping back up and doing like a vintage, like an old Maxis that's 30 years old and doing that video.

And believe it or not, uh, YouTube, if you take any, any education on learning this system, you realize that is not what you should be doing.

I mean in the last, let's just call it absolutely 10 to 20 years for sure.

Okay? Um, but before that, I wanted to be a good saver, just life just kept punching me in the nuts, right [laughs]? It just wouldn't stop.

So what I mean by that is like, "Hey, Phil, don't buy that Squier.

Save up and get American Strat." Okay, fine.

Kind of pissed me off a little bit.

That, that little Squier over there, which is, like, a, you know-

... kind of a, you know, it's, like, the best version of a little hobby travel thing.

And so, yeah, and, and quite a lot of the time I'm selling new stuff to beginners.

So I, you know, it'll be used Squiers.

Right, yeah.

I, I, I'm still shocked to this day.

The Squier I did that was...

I think that one's $140 now, but it was one, it was 99 bucks, and a, um, a patron, a viewer, uh, paid for it for, for us to do the video.

And, uh, that guitar is great, and it will have some issues.
