And what I really wanted was somewhere I could practice leadership.

And fortunately, a Square D company, which eventually was Schneider Electric, they saw my profile and thought I would be a good fit in their organization because they felt that at least among the younger talents, they were lacking some high potential or some folks that had leadership experience.

So They gave me a chance.

And even though I wasn't really trained as an industrial engineer, they hired me as an industrial engineer.

It's one culture.

But for me, absolutely wasn't the case.

I started in the U.S., which was Square D Company, very separate from Schneider.

Even when I first had a chance to come to Asia, I was the industrial director for Thailand.

John McGinnis, age 90, of Fairfax, passed away peacefully on October 6th at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha.

John worked at Square D, later Schneider.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and he was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

A funeral and burial will be held at a later date at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Goree, County Wexford, Ireland.

Which is why you can walk into your own house and find two Schneider products that have never been introduced to each other.

So that was beneficial in many ways.

And then next was a career in the electrical industry at a well-known company called Square D Company.

I started my career at Square D as an automation specialist.

Automation included principally industrial automation for process control, and discrete manufacturing like you find in industrial factories, car factories, name your make it anything kind of a factory.

And that was my first real step into what technology and automation actually means to an operator.

And then after a wonderful career at Square D, starting on the front line and advancing to the vice president ranks, I do have one small distinction that I'll brag a little bit about or I'll share with people to say this is it's silly, but it's it's funny and true.

I have the Distinction is being known as the youngest vice president in the history of Square D.

And that was a moment of pride.
