My dad had a buddy named Jimbo that rode Indians, and he had a sidecar.

He was really into— Those bull terriers, the English bull terriers, I think, the Spuds McKenzie dogs.

And he had a dog that would ride in that sidecar religiously with the goggles on and all that stuff.

I mean, they were like a cartoon character going down the road, you know.

And I just think it's silly because it's more nuanced than that.

Like he passed into the cultural lexicon alongside people like Spuds McKenzie and Pee Wee Herman and all kind of shit where it's just like the soup of references.

And I think there's maybe nowadays too much of a tendency to try to literalize those things and categorize them and make them one thing oh he was you can't support that character you can't want to be that character because he was that but it's like once you turn him into an icon and he's basically like a mask you can buy i think it changes it anyway

Rude Dog was like a it started out on shirts and stuff it's just like a cool looking like rip off of Spuds McKenzie right and then he got his own cartoon for a little while that nobody watched but yeah

I mean, they already have that kind of unofficial dog mascot for Twisted.

That's Tank.

He had a little stuffed pitbull.

And I said to him, I go, hey, I was like, is that Spuds McKenzie? Do you both know Spuds McKenzie? Do you know what that

is? I don't know what that is.

So Spuds McKenzie, it was like the Budweiser spokes dog.

It was like a little pit bull with a patchy eye.

And it was in all the commercials and we're doing the, you know, the conga line and everything.
