Springbank

things? We know it's younger.

The Springbank community was on the east coast of the South Island.

So it was quite close to some little towns there, Cust, Rangiora, and then the big city of Christchurch, I think was only like 40 minutes away.

And our life was a little bit different.

So everything in Gloria Vale, that property was actually called the Springbank community, but I'm going to refer to it as Gloria Vale, keeps it a bit simpler.

So everything inside that structure developed slowly over time.

So when I was younger... we actually wore just the normal typical clothes that New Zealanders wore.

So now you're $7,000 into this painting, and I'm sitting there going, "I gotta tell, I gotta tell my brother." Mine has never s- has never been seen.

But I did go into a client of mine, to their home out in Springbank.

Yeah, Springbank, and walked in and they had one of my paintings from that show.

There was three paintings.

Me and my brother did a collab.

My

son Briggs had a baseball game out in Springbank recently, and we were driving out through Springbank through all those insane houses out that way.

You and I have probably talked about this on the air at some point before, Shauna, but who is buying all of those houses?

I always wonder that.

So many.

This has puzzled me about Calgary since I've moved here.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of these houses in Springbank and Bears Paw and Prittis and Bragg Creek.

Yeah.

But I also know that there are other areas, new developments, maybe in Northeast Calgary and so on, will get built and won't have very good service.

And once you get out of the city, once you get into the Springbank area and so on, there are a lot of gaps where service is not available.

So that leads me, it's anecdotal evidence, but it leads me to believe that it's not, we're not approaching the 98%.

I was, um, what I didn't mention is, yeah, I grew up in Edmonton, and now begin the hate mail.

But, um, I had, my grandparents lived on an acreage in S- in Springbank.

Oh, yeah.

So I'd been coming to Calgary since I was knee-high to a grasshopper and, and out there.
