Spread of Islam

Dr. Patricia Crone, who reads and writes 15 languages, she wa- started my sponsorship when I started my doctorate under her.

She was head of department at Oxford University, got death threats for writing a book called Mecca and Trade in the Rise of Islam, where she was asking this very question.

She had to move from Oxford and move to Cambridge, and that's where I got to know her.

And she was the one that actually put together my first debate in 1995 on this material.
