Sportsman Channel

Right out of college, I moved to Denver, Colorado.

I worked for the Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel, World Fishing Network, the Outdoor Sportsman Group.

What did you do there? So I did social media marketing and sales.

I used to be one of their Facebook Live hosts, so we'd go and interview different products.

... and, and like, like you said, TNN and ESPN, those hunting shows, they predated the Outdoor Channel and the Sportsman's Channel.

Mm-hmm.

North American Whitetail TV, this is our 23rd season on air.

Yeah.

And then they air 26 times.

We air 13 episodes on Outdoor Channel and 13 episodes on Sportsman's Channel.

So, like, the last, we killed 21 deer in- 2024, and we killed 19 deer last year.

We're going to like, it was me bringing that to the table and people were recognizing that.

And then in 2019, we, Sportsman Channel came to Canada and we rebranded the show, That Hunting Girl.

And there you go.

Yeah.

And we came prepared, but at that time, the boys and I were affiliated with a faith-based hunting show out of Oklahoma that's on the Sportsman Channel.

And at that point, we were using sponsored gear.

And so I got to Chicago on the leg, heading to Montana, met with our videographer who's become a great friend of ours, Dustin Oaks.

But I didn't know that about you guys.

I've seen your guys' show, Legends of the Fall, on Sportsman's Channel.

A lot of times it pops up at work when we're not doing much and stuff.

So, like, the midday.

I noticed that Sportsman's Channel runs, like, the same episode quite a bit at, like, noon.

Yeah.

I don't know if it's from like two or three seasons ago, but it's like,

Central.

At the time, outdoor television was huge.

You know, um, the Outdoor Channel, the Sportsman Channel.

Uh, there was one called the Outdoor Life Network, and it was kind of at its peak.

But did... you guys didn't have a budget to advertise on those places, did you?
