The rest of them, I guess, are just copying Spider-Verse now, where it's not inative, it's not innovative anymore.

'Cause, you know, it was innovative for Spider-Verse 'cause it was the first of its kind.

The Spider-Verse or something, yes.

But the reason I bring all this up is not just to talk about Machen or a completely different subject, but it's right on point because what Machen was so concerned to maintain is that the supernatural God, God acts supernaturally in history.

They're not yet having... any physical or mental issues.

It's kind of a trope thing of when you find characters in other realities, like I'll just use Into the Spider-Verse, every time one character is in a different reality, it's almost like they're sick, right? And it's getting worse and worse for them physically and mentally.

I'm curious.

I don't know that we've seen any of our characters stay anywhere too long to experience it.

Right.

The last time I felt like I watched something and everyone had a really good time making it was Across the Spider-Verse, and I left the movie theater thinking, "That's the most love I've ever seen put into a movie." And then the first thing I saw was an article about, like, labor abuse.

I was like, "Those artists seemed to really like making that." And then there's an article that's like, "Artists chained to radiators-

To radiators

... to finish Spider-Verse."

Yeah.

Sheesh.

And I was thinking, I don't think there's any other franchise or trilogy or anything where I have the first two at a five star except for the Spider-Verse movies.

So we have potentially like two of my favorite trilogies of all time with Dune and the Spider-Verse movies coming out within like five months of each other.

Wow.

So what a good time.

he puts part one and like the opening sequence of the movie And apparently, part two had not been greenlit at the time by the studio.

And that's his way of kind of saying...

I think it's similar to my experience with like across the Spider-Verse.

is, but that was a better character than what's in this show.

Yeah, no, this just wasn't a good show.

They did announce that since they canceled this, they're doing another character from Spider-Verse.

They're getting their own show.

And I'd be surprised if Nicolas Cage would even want to commit to more than one season.

And we know we're going to get his character back in the next Spider-Verse movie.

So when the news came out, I mean, the timing is just insane.

Cancelled, Emmy award-winning Spider-Noir.

But at the same time, the other side of me is like, I kind of wasn't really expecting a season two.

Or look, maybe they'll do some fun, crazy shit with them.

Do a live action appearance in what the hell is the next movie called? Beyond the Spider-Verse.

You never know.

I think for me, Spider-Man will really be back when we get beyond the Spider-Verse next summer because that's still my Spider-Man franchise is the animated one.
