Sperlonga

We just went to our favorite restaurant.

that we've been going to for decades, a beach place called Sperlonga.

And one of the recipes in my cookbook is called tiella, T-I-E-L-L-A.

And you might want to call it like a stuffed pizza, but it's actually not.

And I made it with my test kitchen group.

And they all said, oh, this is amazing.

But it wasn't the way it was supposed to be because I've had it in Sperlonga so much.

And so I reached out to all my connections there and they told me about someone who makes it and then they kind of sell it out of their little storefront.

which is north of naples south of rome it's in this shoshade i hope i'm pronounced that right uh region if you if you know the the movie from 1960 from sophia lorraine it describes that area it was very war-torn it's it's nearby to montecino okay so they did get some damage from world war ii actually got more than damage they got devastated you know with bombings and things like that so but it's a it's a quaint little town i've been there several times and uh it's It's beautiful.

It's in the mountains and but also not far from the seashore of Chattachina, Sperlonga.

So it's a great location.

So you get the best of both worlds, like the mountain and the sea.
