Do you remember seeing much of Spencer Shannon today? It seemed like it was-

... really an, an Amari Winston game at times.

It was an Amari Winston game, but I did see some of Spencer Shannon.

He definitely, uh, was out there.

We actually saw Shannon and Mosunas on the, on the, uh, field at the same time a couple times today too.

And CJ, that brings up an interesting point about the tight ends.

You, uh, wrote about this actually early Friday over on Texasfootball.com. You mentioned Michael Mosunus, this could be a big game for him, but Spencer Shannon too has quietly carved out a pretty nice role for himself through the first three games, CJ.

But those two tight ends specifically that specialize in being inline blockers could play massive roles, especially since Jordan Coleman's out, which presumably would mean you don't have the 6.0 line package avail-

But in that tight end room, look, Amari Winston's gonna have to have a big game.

And you're probably gonna have to see a season high of snaps from Michael Masunas, given that Texas likes to lean on 12 personnel, Jeff, to run the football effectively.

And yes, Spencer Shannon's been phenomenal, but look, that, that tandem of Shannon with Nick Townsend I thought had been a calling card of what we've seen through the first six or seven quarters of the season before the injury.

Now where they, where do they go to pivot after that? It's gonna be really interesting.

He clears the way, and I, I think that that is... as you look at this game, and Texas wants to be able to run the ball, that could be a big one.

I, I, I half wonder, Jerry and, and Blake, if Michael Masunis and Spencer Shannon don't see more time on the field together in this game in some capacity.

Uh, like, the problem is both Shannon and Masunis are typically inline blockers, and have been in- inline blockers.

I wonder if they try to move Spencer Shannon to H-back, since he's been on the team longer, right? Knows the plays better, et cetera, and put Masunis in line for this game if they wanna go heavy run game.

So, uh, that plus the absence of Jordan Coleman, who's been that six offensive line package for you on the goal line against Ohio State that was successful, that, those are two little nicks to the, uh, Texas offense's run game that could be, uh, important against, uh, Tennessee tomorrow.

Insurance isn't one-size-fits-all.

And that doesn't mean Winston's not effective, but he naturally, he's not gonna be as good a blocker as, uh, as Townsend was, right? So you're gonna, you're giving something there.

Um, uh, I, I think Spencer Shannon, as Mosunus called upon, a little different in this game potentially.

I don't know.

We'll see.

So I, I think Michael Mosunus fits more of that.

We'll see if he's repped enough at Texas to do that.

Uh, if he's playing some H-back, I think you're gonna see a little bit more run game, 'cause Spencer Shannon is that inline guy for you right now.
