So I'm curious, Spencer, from your own perspective, because you would know best, what was that whole process like for you when you were in that in-between stage where you were maybe still working out in the Denver facilities and you still weren't sure if you were going to return to Denver or not or pack your bags and go over to OKC? What was that like for you?
1:22
Yeah, no, it was it was such a weird offseason, especially just because like, yeah, you know, I'm bouncing from like two weight and then obviously I get that converted that season and I'm rolling right into restricted free agency.
1:32
So like, you know, you're going from like the bottom of the bench to like, you know, now a little bit coveted by some by some teams.
1:37
And that was that was interesting.
1:38
But like the whole free agency, I mean, we knew, you know, the Nuggets free agency was going to be an interesting one because with so many moving parts, I mean, it was, you know.
1:45
Me and Peyton Watson, you know, would talk to each other about it a couple of times to see where, you know, either of our heads were at, because, you know, we had kind of like no idea what the direction of the team was going to be, because like, you know, we had so much money tied up in our starters and stuff like that, that there we thought, you know, maybe they'd make a move before to open open some things up.
2:03
They didn't.

16:53
You can't, look, you can't be that good
11:47
yeah and that you i mean people don't understand this but you know if you come up with an idea like that that is i mean that that earns its money back in a couple of nights isn't
11:56
it yes indeed especially if you throw it away and say 160 quid and then launch it yeah um you've got to be rough with your props apparently on stage yeah but gentle when no one's looking beautiful lovely Very happy with that.
12:10
But sometimes you'll just be making stuff for the sake of it.
12:13
So you won't go, I've got an idea.
12:14
It's funny.
12:16
You'll make something and then have to find what it is.
12:18
Yeah.

33 MINS LATER

44:57
Is there anything else we need to know?
speaker_1ANNOUNCER
44:23
please give it up for the incredible Spencer
44:30
Jones, everyone! Are you all right? Give me a woof if you've got a dog.
44:37
Give me a meow if you've got a cat.
44:39
Give me a woof and meow if you've got both.
44:42
Don't know why that's funny, is it? So we've got to take the dog out for a walk.
44:47
And when you go out for a walk, you meet the different walkers, don't you? All the different types of people.
44:51
And I think we've all met, fingers crossed, this person.
45:33
Oh, God.
22:49
mean that he was... shy
22:52
he was shy and so the reason it started me thinking about it was he spoke um at the side of his mouth like a sort of nervous thing all right yeah this guy said oh what position you play a play defense and then we were like yeah but what are the teachers at school they've literally they're so rushed off their feet they've got loads of different people in those classes neurodivergent kids that could would be better off you know in specialist environments and stuff and there they've got this curriculum bullshit and as a result if there's any naughty kids in there they just go shut up they just plumb them off and as a result that goes happens to a lot of the other kids so those nice conversations that young men and women are having can be quite limited and so going back to the football thing A football coach, obviously they teach them football, but also watching someone who is a great manager in all the different ways, like they're able to put their arm around a kid and say, well done, or tell them when they're getting it wrong.
23:46
You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
23:47
Let them fuck around when they need to fuck around.
23:49
And putting great role models in our kids' lives, I think is fucking...
23:54
I completely agree.
23:55
So, you know, think about it, because you remember that one good teacher.

18 MINS LATER

42:16
I bet you're a fun dad.
15:31
So how was that whole transition
15:33
for you? Yeah, so I was fortunate enough not to do any G League this year.
15:37
But last year, yeah, I mean, look, G League is, you know, doing the whole two-way thing is crazy.
15:42
I went up and down.
15:44
I think 10, 11 times up and down.
15:47
None of them like you.
15:48
I don't think any time I got more than a day's notice.

9 MINS LATER

25:05
going back to the season of course y'all had a first round exit right what what do you think really hindered y'all that led to that i
12:47
Is that how you got linked up with Andium, is through LinkedIn? Um-
12:50
Yeah.
12:51
Yeah, yeah.
12:52
It was, uh, yeah, they reached out to me, uh, v- they reached out to me via there.
12:55
I actually, um, I don't think I, [laughs] I don't think I, um, saw it, but they, they reached out there, and then they actually came, um, 'cause like, what, Summer League last year.
13:06
Um, you know, I do, I, I like to participate in a lot of those NBA, uh, tech events, everything like that.
13:10
Summer League's a big one.

10 MINS LATER

23:35
Whether [laughs] ...
