And I'm going to go with the first match on Collision here, where we had the AW Continental Championship Eliminator match.

Jon Moxley versus Speedball Mike Bailey, man.

The bell rings, and we get a technical wrestling battle.

Like, they just jump right into it.

And, you know, I think Speedball in these almost like... they've been like matches designed for speedball sometimes.

And I think this was no different as speedball consistently in this match was hitting all of his big moves and constantly being the one to carry the offense.

And there's so many times he's doing this.

And I think this was the perfect example of yet again, of what they've done so well of.

It's a cautionary tale.

It talks about a friend named Kara, off the bat, calling her crazy, apparently doing drugs, i.e. Speedball, mentioned Speedball by name.

And for those who may not be aware, Speedball is a mixture of an upper and a downer.

They're intended to balance each other out.

A very typical example of a speedball would be a mixture of cocaine and heroin.

And AEW maybe, and comments go easy on me, could use a little bit of the old sports entertainer stuff.

And so if you have a guy who can bring that, plus hang with the Ospreays, with the Speedballs, with the Fletchers.

If you can have a guy like th- and of course obviously you got Ciampa there, and FTR.

Um, if you have a guy like that, then that helps AEW tremendously, and we get to see him.

Yeah, just tell Speedball to change his name and she can be their brother Bayley.

point.

But like, there's not a ton of, For a while, it was so shallow on the baby face side as far as like making them interesting.

And now it's like everybody's too layered and nobody is a pure baby face, maybe except on all of television for Speedball Mike Bailey.

Like Speedball, I've said it before, is like Ricky Steamboat level pure baby face.

Like, it's okay just to have a baby face who's like, I'm going to bring that title back to the Ren QCC.

Like, just let her do that.

He's great when he's thwarted.

When Speedball started singing Mimuero at him, and he goes, I hate this fucking song.

I'm like, you can be so likable, so long as you're not winning.

Like...

When a new retro-themed game is announced, I'm often thinking, are we actually going to benefit from this? Or is it going to be another one of those speedball remakes that we hear about and then forget about? In fact, there's been lots of times in this show when I'd mentioned something in News & Briefs, and there's a remake of this happening, and then it turns out there was already a remake of it a few years ago that didn't make any ripples when it landed in the pond.

So maybe that shouldn't be a big revelation, given that I still love playing games on the original hardware or emulated as close to feeling real as I can get.

And if you take a game like Speedball or Speedball 2, well, they're perfect as they were and they still are.

But submitted to the subreddit this week, actually twice, but first by Happy Coding, is a new remake of Manic Miner that no one asked for.
