The Netherlands did the same in 2025.

Colombia stood up a Colombian Aerospace Force in 2023.

They've been like, I don't really know how to describe this other than like drone trolling.

There were two Spanish jets that were stationed there that scrambled to like intercept the drone.

But their continuation of drone trolling states like within the EU and NATO, like this is a serious thing, right? Like these are serious and ongoing provocations.

The detachment activated in Estonia on August 25, comprising Spanish aircraft and personnel from Zaragoza, Spain.

Spanish Major Antonio Mancibo Marín, commander of the Spanish Air and Space Forces Embar detachment, said, "...our priority is to be ready to assume our operational duties at the earliest opportunity and to provide our allies with the most effective contribution possible to Baltic air defence." Working side by side with our Estonian hosts and Turkish allies allows us to align our procedures quickly and operate safely and effectively from the very first mission.

The activity brought together Estonian ground teams, Spanish EF-18M aircraft and Turkish F-16s, allowing personnel from the three allies to exchange procedures and build a shared understanding of operations at Amari.

On the ground, Estonian personnel refueled Spanish EF-18MS, while Estonian firefighters and Spanish medical personnel jointly reviewed rescue and emergency response procedures.
